[The IM starts off with your favorite charming 1940s transplant and his skinny asthmatic best friend looking kind of….sheepish. Well, Bucky looks sheepish and mildly annoyed. Steve is just giving him a Look. Bucky is the one who speaks]

So, uh, me an’ Steve...we don’t really know how to use all this twenty-first century technology and...we. Broke something.

[He holds up an iPod dock that is very much broken]

We thought it was a radio or somethin’. Guess not.

[Bucky goes to cut the rainbow but Steve stops him, giving him another Look.]

And we’re sorry we broke it, an’ that we stole it. [To Bucky:] Aren’t we?

...yeah, that too. [As he cuts the rainbow:] Really, Steve?

Well, I've seen one but nope. Guy wouldn't let me touch it, an' probably with good reason. What's that gotta do with this fake radio thing?

What's an ipod? [Curiosity is outweighing the 'help, a pretty girl' factor here]

[ Annabeth tries to hide her bemused smile. She is mostly successful. ]

I'm sure they'll be able to fix it, you know, the Haephestus kids.

They're the forge kids, yeah? Only, uh, that's where we got it.

[Cue a very steamed looking blond girl on the other end of the line. She's cradling a black dragon in her arms.]

You stole and broke our parts?

[....well, he did want to see dragons. Maybe not an angry Hephaestus camper, though]

We didn't mean to break it, we were just trying to figure it out!

We were gonna ask!

Ya know, I ain't been here long, but generally the rules include a 'don't touch other people's stuff' line in there. Ya learn it in kindergarten: keep ya hands to yourself?

[Any of that ringing a bell, guys?]

Yeah, well, why do you think I'm makin' him apologize?

Neither of us went to "kindergarten" so why don't you shuddup?

[Hazel knew what that thing was! She totally did, and it was AMAZING. Well, the device. And that she knew what it was.]

What did you do to the iPod dock? [Look at her, using fancy terminology. Leo had explained it to her, at least, she'd gotten him to use the name for it around her. iPod dock. It played mp3s. out of an iPod.

Wait. Hold up.]

You two aren't from the twenty-first century?

Uh, hate to tell you this, but there's probably not a whole lot of fixing that can happen, but maybe I could give it a shot anyway.

...How'd you two get one of these?
