Shot 02 - IM/Action - log 02

[wintersergeant]

[The IM starts off with your favorite charming 1940s transplant and his skinny asthmatic best friend looking kind of….sheepish. Well, Bucky looks sheepish and mildly annoyed. Steve is just giving him a Look. Bucky is the one who speaks]

So, uh, me an’ Steve...we don’t really know how to use all this twenty-first century technology and...we. Broke something.

[He holds up an iPod dock that is very much broken]

We thought it was a radio or somethin’. Guess not.

[Bucky goes to cut the rainbow but Steve stops him, giving him another Look.]

And we’re sorry we broke it, an’ that we stole it. [To Bucky:] Aren’t we?

...yeah, that too. [As he cuts the rainbow:] Really, Steve?

[She's not that great at trusting.]

Look- my name is Hazel Levesque. And I'm going to tell you something I've never told anyone before. Meet me at Cabin 13.

[wintersergeant]

[Bucky nods and heads off to meet with this girl. What is it about Cabin 13 and weird people?

Still, he goes]

Miss Hazel?

[Hey, Hazel is the most normal of everyone in Cabin 13. Still, at being addressed as Miss, she blushes. It's been a while.]

Hi. [She stands outside of the crypt-like entrance.] So you're really from 1941?

[wintersergeant]

Yes'm. Born in 1926 in Brooklyn.

[cavalrys]

Wow. [Hazel breathes this out.]

I- you can't tell anyone this, but I think you should know... I was born in 1928. And died in 1942.

[wintersergeant]

[Give him a second]

You what? But--you're--how? I mean, obviously you weren't at the Lotus with Steve an' me.

No. I wasn't.

[Maybe this was a mistake. But she can't take it back now.]

I died in 1942 with my mother. Somehow [Nico] I was brought back from the Underworld last year.

You can't tell anyone. I only told you because... I figured you two would understand. What it's like.

Bein' completely lost? Yeah. Not so sure we can help with the being dead and then bein' alive again, though.

[He just. Won't think about that bit. Hazel just had a weird stay in the hotel too or something. Yeah]

So we got four kids who went through that kinda thing?

No- I'm not asking you to understand that. I don't think anyone here could. And I don't want them to. [Dying sucked.]

Yes. You, me, Nico, and Steve... All from the same ten years.

[wintersergeant]

Right.

[There's a pause as he thinks about this and what it might mean. He's not the one who's good at this but...]

So clearly there was somethin' up with the 1940s that made everyone wanna put us back for emergencies or something,.

[Hazel laughs, at least, a little awkwardly.]

Or something. [Why she would have been called upon for emergencies, she had no idea. She was cursed, after all. Cursed, and completely useless.]
