[So after this quickly escalated on the 16th of February, Nico has decided that he's in a better frame of mind, and heart, to at least apologize to the camp. He is not going to apologize to Percy, and honestly still doesn't want to see him. The son of Hades is currently in the forest, looking a little uncomfortable.]

Ah...so, about last Sunday...I'm pretty sure that you guys may have noticed a small earthquake happened.

[Why does apologizing have to be so hard?]

That was my and Percy's fault. We had a little...disagreement.

["Disagreement" he says. His eyes betray that he means "heated argument."]

For those who don't know or might not realize this, this kind of thing happens when two children of the Big Three have strong disagreements between each other. You get a natural disaster, and luckily this one was small enough to not cause any damage that I'm aware of. Before you guys even think about it, don't try to get all three sets of children into an argument.

[Nico sighs.]

Anyway...since half of it was my fault, I wanted to...apologize for the incident. And for any fear or damage caused by it.

[He can't promise that it won't happen again, since that's an impossible promise to keep, but...well.]

Well, nice to know minor explosions and other fiascoes are just a thing that happens when Carter and I fight. What would happen if we got you, Percy, and Jason in a fight?

[There's a tenseness at the phrase Rhys decides to use, but Nico doesn't comment on it. He refuses to acknowledge it right now.]

If you're asking if I apologized to Percy, then the answer is no and I'm not planning on doing that anytime soon.

[Wow, serious deja vu right there.]

We don't need to be separated, though. Normally, all of the children of the Big Three have been on good behavior. There are just going to be times where things like this accidentally happen. Better a mild earthquake than another World War, like the last time their children fought.

[Not that he could. It might irk him that he's outgunned by demigods, but he won't bring it up.

But the idea of the demigods starting a major-league war leaves him a bit skeptical.]

[And here's the guy Nico doesn't want to see, yet paradoxically does. Has he said recently that he hates his emotions?]

No, though I'm surprised he didn't fall in a fissure. Probably a good thing. I do not want to incur Annabeth's wrath, thanks.

[It's pretty obvious that he's not alright. He's still angry, still hurt, and...anxious.]

For the time being, I'm just avoiding him until I can stomach looking at him.

[It's pretty easy for Hazel to find Nico, truth be told. She arrived the day after the small earthquake, but all the same, if it was a fight that happened between Nico and Percy, she was very, very concerned.]

Hi, Nico, [She called, coming to stand in front of him.] I saw the rainbow message. Iris Message.

What happened? To make something like that happen? That seems really extreme. And you seem really upset by it. I thought, maybe you wanted to talk about it?

[He's not surprised that she came to visit him personally. Nico crosses his arms, looking down at the ground.]

[The son of Hades thinks about the question, debating what to tell her. In the end, he scolds himself. It's not fair to not give Hazel a chance when he has to tell Bay, too, now that the secret is most likely completely out in the open. He screwed up, though a part of him knew that was an inevitability after being in Camp for so long. Nico just wishes that this had been planned instead of...unexpectedly happening.]

Percy and I had an argument concerning people's choices to risk their lives to save his.

[He hesitates and fidgets nervously. His resolve hardens with the thought that he'd rather Hazel hear this from him than some other Camper.]

There...was another reason I've been avoiding him. I...I haven't been completely honest with you, Hazel. And I'm sorry, but I just...haven't found a way to tell you. Or bring it up.

[This is making him so sick and scared that the grass he's standing on actually withers.]

It's their own choices, [Hazel says softly.] If they choose to die to save him... [she'd chosen to die, to save her mother. Her mother had wanted to die to save her. But they'd died together, to try to save the world.] I don't know enough about him, though. Not like you do, so I can't really say...

[The way he fidgets isn't lost on her, nor is the grass around him. She moves to his side immediately, reaching out to hold on to his hands, to provide some sort of comfort. She knew what the feeling of guilt could do to you, how sick it could make you. Maybe that was one of the reasons he hadn't been eating lately.]

What... What happened? You know you can tell me anything, Nico. I'm your sister, and I love you. I'm here for you, no matter what. If you didn't tell me something, I'm sure it was for a good reason. [She offers a small smile.] Now what is it?

Didn't we agree, when we talked about Jason vs. Percy, to not do it here because we need our camp in one piece?

We did, but we never said anything about me versus either of them. At least the argument didn't last long enough for the earthquake to get worse.

[Not that it's much consolation to the son of Hades, but. Well.]

*Super easy to find him, just follow the trail of depression and... okay Bay followed him out of the cabin under a veil of illusions. Easier than, you know, working at it.*

Do I have to find a way around Percy's little invulnerability thing?

*She's joking, and only makes herself visible after she speaks up.*

[He somehow manages a smile at that. A small one, but a smile. Nico isn't at all surprised she's here. He's got the best cabin mates a teenage orphan can ask for.]

Don't tempt me.

[Nico sighs and sits down, his back against a tree.]

The two of us were arguing about how he hates it when people who care about him willingly take a knife for him.

[The son of Hades hesitates. For the next part, his eyes are resolutely fixed on anywhere that isn't Bay. If he's going to be honest with Hazel, then he's going to be honest with Bay. He respects her and trusts her that much. Nico just hopes that the trust is in good hands.]

I'm...I haven't been totally honest with you. I was going to have Derek tell you, but...I've done enough selfish and cowardly things recently without adding this to the list.

[Nico doesn't want to do this, but he knows he has no choice. It's better for her to hear it from him than from some other source.]

A lot of people hate it, usually they do it for everyone else.

*Bay wasn't entirely sure how the whole 'unkillable' thing worked, but Hel kneejerked a 'no such thing' feeling at the concept. So there had to be a loophole, and even then it can't be easy or safe to go for.*

I'm not your sister from another pantheon, I'm your friend. So unless what you weren't honest about directly effects me it isn't that big a deal. I still haven't explained all of my stuff.

So don't keep going unless you really want to.

Either way, better to own up when you know you messed up and affected a lot of people because of it.

[ Of course Derek tracks down Nico. Considering how he's been since Sunday, the fact that his brother is admitting anything to the camp at large-- even if it's vague and keeps the contents of the argument tucked close to his chest-- he figures that he's had some amount of time to decompress after.

Besides, if it was with Percy? He's inclined to find out what happened.

So he slips through the shadows easy as anything, canting his head the slightest bit. ]

[Praise the gods, just the man he needs to see! He didn't tell Derek about it when they last met up. Mostly, he was still reeling from the incident, and didn't want to say anything until he was in a better frame of mind.

He's still not in a good mindset, but whatever.

The moment Nico sees Derek, it's like all of his reservations crumble. He feels like a little kid again, relying on the older sibling to protect him when his parent isn't there to help. Nico doesn't need any prodding when he just blurts it right out at Derek's questioning look.]

I told Percy in the middle of our argument. I wasn't thinking, and now he knows.
