[So after this quickly escalated on the 16th of February, Nico has decided that he's in a better frame of mind, and heart, to at least apologize to the camp. He is not going to apologize to Percy, and honestly still doesn't want to see him. The son of Hades is currently in the forest, looking a little uncomfortable.]

Ah...so, about last Sunday...I'm pretty sure that you guys may have noticed a small earthquake happened.

[Why does apologizing have to be so hard?]

That was my and Percy's fault. We had a little...disagreement.

["Disagreement" he says. His eyes betray that he means "heated argument."]

For those who don't know or might not realize this, this kind of thing happens when two children of the Big Three have strong disagreements between each other. You get a natural disaster, and luckily this one was small enough to not cause any damage that I'm aware of. Before you guys even think about it, don't try to get all three sets of children into an argument.

[Nico sighs.]

Anyway...since half of it was my fault, I wanted to...apologize for the incident. And for any fear or damage caused by it.

[He can't promise that it won't happen again, since that's an impossible promise to keep, but...well.]

Oh, of course. When we're next able to leave camp safely, I will arrange a trip to France to see Mama and you and Enjolras--he hasn't been home since he moved to America, can you believe it--will go with me and see France and meet Mama and Marianne.

[Still hugging. Nico is so sweet, how could anyone hate him?]

[He can't help smiling at that.]

That would be great. The only other European country I've visited was Croatia, and that was when I was about six.

You'll love France. I'll try to wait until it's springtime, even though it'll be rainy, because the flowers blooming and the fresh air and--oh, Nico, Paris est la plus belle ville du monde et de la France, c'est le plus beau pays.

[He gets that dreamy look on his face that's usually reserved for a particularly lovely flower or nasty poison.]

[Nico is so amused that Jehan lapsed into French that he chuckles.]

I think all I got from that is Paris is beautiful.

[Whoops. Jehan laughs as well]

That's about all I said, honestly. I added that France was lovely, but really, that goes without saying.

France certainly has that reputation. Since you love it so much, I think I'll like it there.

[And if they start conversing in rapid French, he'll just talk to some of the ghosts. Or keep them away if they're angry at an Italian being in the heart of their country.]

You will, I know it. If we go to Paris, you have to let me take to the catacombs. They're stunning.

[Of course he'd think they are]

I'd definitely be interested in seeing them.

[No lie, he is. Then again, Nico is a son of Hades, so this comes as no surprise.]

If we go to Venice, I might just have to take you on a ghost tour.

A ghost tour?

[Wide eyes and a smile]

Like going around to the haunted parts of the city?

[He nods with a hesitant smile.]

Yeah. My mom would tell me stories about the ghosts in Venice. I don't think we'll have to worry about angry spirits causing trouble. I can keep them away. There are a lot of places that are haunted.

Oh, I'd love that. Do you know Florence as well as you know Venice? I imagine there are a lot of ghosts in Florence, what with the plague and all. It'd be so interesting to see them!

[There is an inner Nico who is throwing up his arms and saying, "Why do you have to be so infernally attractive and have similar passions to me?"]

I think I might have been there once or twice, but I wouldn't remember how to navigate that place. Not that I'd object to taking a visit to the city of flowers. I'll just need a map.

Of course. Marianne probably has several.

[Jehan then actually squees.]

A ghost tour of Venice oh my gods, it's like a dream come true.

[Oh no actually adorable. Nico cannot with this guy, ugh.]

We can pretty much walk to all the places, except for one. I can shadow travel us there with not too much of an issue. [He shrugs.] Poveglia would require a ferry, and as close as we would be to Rome, I wouldn't trust the water.

Any reason, or just old superstitions? I'll admit I don't know a lot about Italy and Rome and the like.

Rome is kind of like Greece. It's more dangerous for demigods to be there because it's where everything started. I don't know how much of a difference it will make with us being Greek and not Roman, but I wouldn't put so much as a toe in the water without a child of Neptune around, just to be safe.

[They're just going to skirt around Poseidon. Yep.]

And I can't imagine we'd be taking any children of any water god or a magician or anything with us so....yes, let's avoid Rome.

Florence and Venice should be safe enough if we avoid places our godly parents don't have dominion over. Poveglia is an island off the coast of Venice, and from what my mom said, it was the most haunted place. I don't know if that's still true or not.

Why wouldn't it be? It's not like ghost pass on on their own. Do they?

It depends on whether or not the ghost has any attachments to this world. Some are able to let go on their own and go to whatever afterlife awaits them, some need help to dissolve those attachments, but most that stay in the mortal world are malevolent. They're here because they're angry at whatever happened in their lifetime.

Which makes sense. I mean, I'm the sort who'd want to leave a place that makes me angry but I suppose that's not the case for others. Still, I can't wait. I'll take a rosary for protection, if you don't mind, though.

No, that's fine. Extra protection doesn't hurt in that case.

[Nico isn't sure if a rosary will work, but he's not going to knock it until he tries it.]

You're amazing, Nico.

[Nico blushes and surprises himself by batting Jehan away playfully. This gods damn kid, he swears. On the plus side, he's sufficiently cheered up enough for a little while. On the minus side...Nico feels like dissolving into squees himself.

Oh boy.]

I should go talk to Hazel. I'll let you know what happens, okay?

Of course. I'll be here, possibly with food if Peeta shows up.
