First Fear | Action
[ Four doesn't have much use for the ims, not yet anyway. Instead, he'd rather explore, get the lay of this place first hand. No one would realize it to look at him, but he is infinitely glad to be back in a somewhat familiar setting. It's not Camp Jupiter, but it's not constantly moving around. It's not endangering anyone. It's safe. That's something that Four hasn't felt in more than a year. Sure, it's far more relaxed than what he's accustomed to (and he's not entirely sure how he feels about that) but it's a camp environment and he's been told that there are campers here that he knows. It's not home, but it's close enough for the moment.
Come bother the new camper, don't let the fact that he's stalking around with a scowl on his face dissuade you. He doesn't bite. Mostly. ]

They should know better than to be hostile without my command. Are you lost?

No. [ because he's not. ] I'm learning the place. [ because he's new, but he doesn't offer that. ]

[She pauses a moment to compose herself before continuing on.]
When did you come here?
no subject
Today. I've been here all of...an hour. Maybe.

[She's not quite sure - the Greeks like her wear their camp beaded necklaces, but she hasn't checked his arm for the mandatory Roman tattooing. Right now she's more concerned about weeding out potential threats. The camp's been attacked by newcomers too much lately for her to not be suspicious.]
I never did understand why some would want to keep a fish as a pet. You can't interact with them much.
no subject
[ He tilts his chin up, obvious pride in his stance and body language. ] Roman. You?
[ Oh it's there on his arm beneath his shirt along with a number of other tattoos put there for various reasons, with various meaning. He's not here to attack the camp though. He's very glad to be here, to be somewhere that seems even a little familiar. ]
I wouldn't know. I've never had a fish, or a pet of any kind. My father thought pets were too indulgent.

[There's a straightening of her back to match his own - she's quite proud of her heritage herself, especially since it partially brought her these dragons.
Even if she did get in trouble for it later.]
Perhaps you'd want to try it. Companionship is valuable.

Though, she wouldn't really call this socializing, slowly appearing from behind a tree during her walk through the woods. ]
Are you looking for something?
no subject
He doesn't start when she comes out from behind the tree, but he does take notice, stopping to look her over. ]
I just got here. I'm checking the place out.
no subject
Welcome. [ Usually, she's all smiles and friendliness and it's nice to fall into the same routine with newcomers. Lifting a shoulder, she leans against hte tree, tucking her hair behind her ear. ] I'm Allison. Norse pantheon.
no subject
Thanks. [ It's said tersely, but not without genuine gratitude. He's glad to be here, even if it isn't home. ] Four. Roman pantheon. [ He hesitates, deciding after a moment to offer a little more information. It's not as if she won't be able to figure it out for herself. ]
I've been on the run for about a year. [ So he's glad to be here, to have a place to belong again even if he won't say it. ]
no subject
Well, I'm glad that you've finally found safety. It must be... incredibly difficult, traveling alone.
no subject
He nods in hesitant agreement. ] Yeah. It...sucked. Have you been here long?
no subject
On and off. I left when summer started and came back mid-fall.
no subject
Then you know this place pretty well.

Seated beneath the tree is Mary, humming to herself as she works on some embroidery. It's really not the same as having a loom at all, but a modern day Frigga needs to work with what she has.
Her eyes lift as he comes nearer and she offers an affable,]
Hullo.

Hello.
[ His greeting reflects that doubt and uncertainty. There's a part of him, the part that's still the boy that Marcus raised, that knows he should say something else. ]
You're quite a ways out here.
[ Okay, so that something else sounds accusing rather than pleasant, but it's something .]
no subject
But not as far away as you'd think. This tree is important to me and mine, and I find if I sit under it, I can almost understand what it's saying.
[Her accent smacks of the United Kingdom. A little Scottish and a lot of Queen's English, kind of patchwork.]
I'm Mary. One of the Norse. And you're new to camp. You can sit if you'd like?
no subject
[ It's an accent he hasn't heard, but he likes it. After some hesitation, he sits down. ]
It shows, huh? I'm Four, one of the Romans
no subject
[She gestures, inviting him to pull up some grass.] It only shows in so much that you're a face I don't at least passingly recognize. I think it's grand that the Romans are reuniting with each other. Hopefully the Norse will enjoy similar good luck.

I appreciate being given a place to stay. [ And he does, there's a good deal of gratitude in his voice. Living on his own after having lived at Camp Jupiter for so long had been difficult, emotionally draining. ] So you're...not entirely Frigga. What does that mean?
no subject
Those of us who have the biggest soul shard of each god are considered to be the new incarnation of that god. The largest known of Frigga is me. I have her memories - they're my memories. I am able to do some of the things that Frigga was able to do, and I'm becoming stronger - all of us are becoming stronger - every day.
no subject
So far, you're a lot nicer than any of the gods or goddesses I've met, shard or otherwise. [ It's meant as a compliment and to be a little teasing. There's the hint of a smile when he says it. ]
