[ Natalie has always been a private person. It might be obvious to those who are especially concerned about her that she hasn't been seen in a couple of days since the quest departure.
What a waste of her last drachma for the month, she thinks.
She doesn't want to bog anyone down with her troubles - there are things far bigger than her happening all around, and she is only one girl, one girl who likes to think she can handle it all, but in truth is unprepared for everything sent her way. The only person worse than Natalie at trying to fool the world is her own father, who she had spoken to via Iris Message just after Leo and the others left.
There are a few signs to her poor state, like two singed targets at the archery range and a trail of smoke that follows her when she finally emerges from her various treks around camp and away from everything else. She leans against a stone column outside of Hecate cabin and pulls her parka hood over her head, hugging herself around her empty stomach.
Your vision might go a little haywire if you approach her, with various dizzying effects. She's having a few control problems. ]

[It wasn't accusatory, just curious. Then, she looked up at the cabin she was in front of.] You're a daughter of Hecate.

She does feel badly for what she's done to the other girl - it's a heightened concern for reasons she'll soon realize - even as she slips her hand into her coat pocket again. ] You - you okay?
no subject
She shakes her head, trying to laugh it off, all the same. She's a Centurion. She helped capture a werewolf that tried to attack the camp. She's okay. She has to be okay.] Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Sorry- I just- ah, sorry. [She shoves her own hands in her pockets, unaware she's mimicking Natalie's movements.] I thought it was my head. Messing things up again, [she admits, looking down.]

And her brow furrows, watching Annie for a second. ] We've all seen some screwed up stuff. I'm sure, like, bad dreams and visions are pretty common among our types, unfortunately.
no subject
Most of the time, with me, it's, ah, real.
no subject
I have bad dreams all the time, s'why I never get any sleep. You hungry? I'm - I'm gonna grab a sandwich before getting back to work, which is supposed to be kind of good for me except when it isn't.
no subject
Oh- yeah, sure. I, ah, haven't eaten at all, either. Sure. I'm Annie, I guess, I should mention.
no subject
[ Since she's oddly fond of the guy, she will definitely give Annie what she hopes is a warmer smile despite her current state, somewhat sickly, but still in one piece. She slowly makes her way off those small steps, not wanting to stumble. ] Sometimes I, like, I don't feel like eating at the pavilion. I hang out by the lake to clear my head.
no subject
The lake is perfect, [Annie says automatically.] That's one of the reasons I swim. To clear my head, too. [She giggles uncertainly.]

D'you wanna get food and eat lunch there?
no subject
Absentmindedly, Annie scratches at her wrist, feeling the raised scars with the ridge of her nail.]
Yes, please. I think that'd be great. [Though Annie doubted she would eat.]
no subject
[ Though she didn't want the other girl to be alone, Natalie would also be content to remain solitary for the rest of the day. For the rest of the week even. Hiding away in the woods gets exhausting, even if she can try to keep the harpies at bay, but maybe she can get away with hiding from her siblings and cabinmates if she tries hard enough.
Food, first. With an uncertain smile, she leaves Annie at the entrance to the dining pavilion. ]

[But once Annie gets her food- nothing much, a small sandwich and an apple, she's down by the lake, waiting patiently for Natalie. Hopefully, she'll be back. She'd had people abandon plans with her before. Hopefully, Natalie wasn't like that.]

And, man, food is good. She needs to remember to eat more. ]
no subject
What's wrong? I mean, if you don't mind telling me? I'm pretty good at listening... I won't tell anyone.
no subject
My mom's in the hospital, that's all.
no subject
[Before she was murdered.]
no subject
Haven't helped her yet. Don't see why he has to force her into this treatment. [ She inhales sharply. ] We were having a good conversation and he just dropped the fucking bomb on me.
no subject
I mean, you don't have to tell me. I just kinda, y'know, know the Seattle clinics... [She doesn't know it's a mental illness of any sort, not at all. But she does have experience with the hospitals, and she does want to help Natalie. Maybe it'll be the start of a new friendship. Maybe.]

Finding out I was a demigod was the best thing to ever happen to me because it got me out of that house. No one noticed me.
