[Today, a single rose has been placed at the feet of the statue of Aphrodite in accordance with the laws for celebrating Aphrodisia.

When you ate your breakfast this morning, you might have noticed it was delicious, even better than usual. Maybe the nymphs and harpies took extra care, or maybe there was a little Love Potion No. 9 in it.

Like I'd miss it! How often do you get to say "I rode on a giant metal dragon"?

[She gives him a look. Yes, the calendar in her cabin is pink, with glitter stickers -- glitter stickers! -- on it, but that's not her fault.]

How far do you plan on taking him?

[commandertoolbelt]

No idea. Thought we'd figure it out as we go. Unless you have someplace in mind?

[She shakes her head.]

I don't know what there is to see on the East Coast, except maybe New York and I don't think we should have a giant dragon flying around with so much air traffic there already.

[commandertoolbelt]

[ He waves it off. ]

The Mist would hide him, right? They'd just see a giant bird or something.

[mesmerism]

Air traffic, Leo! It's not the Mist I'm worried about, but dodging airplanes.

[And even with Leo's mechanical skills, she's not sure she trusts the turning maneuverability of a dragon in flight when a 747 is trying to reach altitude.]

[ Now that is just plain insulting. ]

You don't think Festus can do it?

Leo...

[She looks a little sheepish, not having meant to insult him. But it's a lot of faith to put into a machine that until recently was really damaged and dangerous.]

If you're steering him, I know we'll be okay. I just worry he might do something you don't expect.

[commandertoolbelt]

[ That's more acceptable, and it cheers him up a little. Festus wouldn't appreciate the lack of trust, but at least Leo knows they'll be fine flying together.

He thinks. ]

So far he's been okay, but I guess we should play it safe.

[ But where's the fun in that? ]

[A one-way trip to the Underworld isn't fun, Leo.]

I'm sure we can have fun just traveling around Long Island.

Right -- who needs a destination when you're flying on a dragon, anyway?

It does seem more like something you just go with, instead of plan ahead too much.
