[Today, a single rose has been placed at the feet of the statue of Aphrodite in accordance with the laws for celebrating Aphrodisia.

When you ate your breakfast this morning, you might have noticed it was delicious, even better than usual. Maybe the nymphs and harpies took extra care, or maybe there was a little Love Potion No. 9 in it.

[Jehan blushes when Gabe sits down next to him and glances away for a second, trying not to smile shyly. For some reason, the other camper looks really, really good today and it's making Jehan all fluttery]

O-oh, Naomi? I didn't know she was. I only got back in camp a little bit ago. I'm surprised someone didn't tell to keep a weapon on her at all times. Did something happen?

Yeah, her.

[He nods. The kid's cute and all, but completely clueless in every way, sometimes.]

She came to my fight training emptyhanded. I told her it's not safe, but I'm letting you know, alright? She's kind of your responsibility and all.

[shylyintrepid]

[Jehan sighs and facepalms, momentarily forgetting the fluttering feeling to sigh at the girl that is his little sister]

Why did she--wait, she tried to pet the Roman's wolf god, of course she thought that was a good idea. I'll get her outfitted after the festival today. Thanks, Gabe.

[Oh there goes the fluttery feeling again! He ducks his head a bit, still blushing and trying to hide it]

She what?

[Okay, it takes Gabriel a moment to actually process that mental image, but he bursts into a peal of laughter not long afterwards. Fucking A, the newbies here were just too good sometimes.]

Hey, no problems, Jehan. She'll learn, if she wants to stay alive.

[Damn, okay. That blushing?

That's damn adorable, and he's not usually into the introspective type.]

Yeah, one of the Romans saved her, thank the gods. I'm thinking she might need a magical item that tells her when she's about to do something dangerous.

[He plucks one of the daisies nearby and starts twirling it. He's still a furious pink and can't seem to stop looking at Gabe]

I don't think we were that dumb when we first arrived. Were we?

Get her a collar with a bell on it. Easier to make, and you won't even have to worry about it malfunctioning.

[Jehan's the color of an uncooked steak and somehow still manages to be stupidly cute. Was this legal? If he ever met Ganymede, he had to ask the guy about that.]

I was. Still am, sometimes. You? No, not really. You've always been on top of your game - except this one time, dude!

[And he pokes Jehan in the ribs for that.]

[Jehan yelps and falls over in an attempt to dodge Gabe, laughing a little]

Gabriel! I'm ticklish!

[Really, now, Jehan? Really? This is an excuse for Gabriel to touch you and get closer, and he's never been one to not take an easy in. He goes for it, running his fingers up and down Prouvaire's sides wildly.]

Okay, rule number one? Don't ever tell me something like that.

[shylyintrepid]

[He laughs, squirming and trying to dodge Gabe's hands]

M-mercy, mercy! P-please, you're killing me!

[This isn't fair. Gabe is too cute and Jehan can't fight him off.]

I don't see any blood, sweetheart.

[He gives Jehan a coy grin, but then removes his hands - he does linger a bit first, though.]

But you did ask so nicely.

Metaphorically, Gabe.

[He grins, blushing even more, and sits up again. He ends up scooting closer to Gabe than before]

So all I have to do is ask?

[angeliaforos]

I should hope so. Not big on bringing people back from the dead. I hear it's hard work.

[Also? Kind of impossible, especially with the dearth of Hades kids around here.]

That's the ticket.

You're so nice, Gabe.

[He laughs and nudges the other boy's shoulder with his. The contact gives him a slight tingle]

What else would you do if someone asked, hm?

Well, that's the first freakin' time anybody in the history of ever has said that.

[He licks his lips. Jeez, has it gotten hotter outside?]

Depends. Try me.

[shylyintrepid]

[...oh, that lip licking is a bit distracting. Um. It takes Jehan a moment to respond. (And yes, still blushing!)]

But you are! It didn't take much to get you to stop tickling me. [He hums thoughtfully] I bet you wouldn't kiss someone if asked to.

[angeliaforos]

[He rolls his eyes, but there's still a smile there.]

Clearly, you don't know me very well, Jean Prouvaire.

[Then, another poke to his ribs.]

Why? Are you asking?

[shylyintrepid]

[A yelp]

Perhaps. Would you?

[angeliaforos]

Actions always speak louder than words, you know.

[And with that, he closes the distance between himself and Jehan, pressing his lips against the other boy's.]

[shylyintrepid]

[Jehan's stunned. His face is a furious red and he's having trouble saying anything beyond "um" when he pulls away after a moment]

I didn't know you...

[T"Liked guys" is left unsaid. He can't look away from Gabe, despite his shock. He's a good kisser and handsome and damn the butterflies.

After a moment, he leans back in to return the kiss.]

[He draws back after a few seconds, a self-satisfied smirk on his face.]

Jehan, I like all sorts. I'm not picky.

[shylyintrepid]

I didn't know.

[But he's blushing and smiling]

I'm glad, though. You're...pretty good-looking.

[angeliaforos]

It's safe to say that I'm into the human race.

[He shrugs, poking Jehan in the cheek.]

You're pretty cute yourself, Frenchie.

[It's something he usually calls Enjolras, but it works in this situation, too.]

[shylyintrepid]

...Frenchie?

[That'd annoy him usually but from Gabe? It's endearing]

Really?

[angeliaforos]

I call all of you guys Frenchie. You've just been away too long to get the brunt of the treatment.

[He flops back on the grass, hands behind his head.]

Totally. Don't short-sell yourself, kid.

Most guys don't like the, uh, poison obsession or the blushing. It's different to hear someone call me cute, that's all.
