[Today, a single rose has been placed at the feet of the statue of Aphrodite in accordance with the laws for celebrating Aphrodisia.

When you ate your breakfast this morning, you might have noticed it was delicious, even better than usual. Maybe the nymphs and harpies took extra care, or maybe there was a little Love Potion No. 9 in it.

No! Nothing.

[He drops his hand, shoving it into the pocket of his hoodie. If one was to look closely they would notice that the tips of his ears are red.]

Are you certain? You're turning quite red, Enjolras.

[The bubbling feeling she'd experienced earlier when she'd mentioned Jehan is back, but it's stronger than before, impossible to ignore. She gives him a warmer smile than usual, putting a hand on his knee affectionately.]

I'm fine.

[He looks away, trying to will the blush to go away. How embarrassing. He thought he had crushed these feelings and...

And her hand is on his knee, something she's certainly done before but for some reason it sends a jolt through him. As if the butterflies in his stomach have been unlocked and are spreading through his chest. It's a strange feeling.

He doesn't necessarily mind it.]

I don't appreciate when you squirrel your emotions away, Enjolras. You should know that by now.

[Ordinarily, she'd speak more aggressively, sterner, holding herself in a completely different way. Right now, though, she's still speaking in a soft voice, almost encouraging.]

"Squirrel your emotions away"? What in the world is that suppose to mean?

[He really is curious, he's never heard the phrase before.

Well he has an idea what it means, but it's still an awfully odd way to express the notion.]

I do, and I'm not. I really am fine.

It's something that Jorah had said to me once. Satyrs sometimes speak in turns of phrase using nature...it means 'to bury your true feelings, as a squirrel would hide nuts and seeds in thr winter months.

[Dany decides to make the first move. She's never been anything but honest, and something in her chest is just begging her to spit out exactly how noble Enjolras looks today.]

You look...quite handsome.

It's a fairly strange way to say that.

[But strangely suiting for Dany.

The comment is not something he expected. He looks at her, unsure of how to react.]

And you look very beautiful.

[So apparently that meant his mouth decided to act without permission.]

[Her cheeks tinge at that. She's often so refined, so staunch in her posture and mannerisms, but there's something about that coming from Enjolras, all on a day like today, that warms her ungentle heart.

She moves closer to him, delicately resting her head on his shoulder.]
