SITUATION POST: JULY 21, 2013 (APHRODISIA)

[Today, a single rose has been placed at the feet of the statue of Aphrodite in accordance with the laws for celebrating Aphrodisia.

When you ate your breakfast this morning, you might have noticed it was delicious, even better than usual. Maybe the nymphs and harpies took extra care, or maybe there was a little Love Potion No. 9 in it.

Maybe.

[He's not so sure. Lupa didn't interfere as much once the demigods were at camp. But he also knew that things were changing. Perhaps that would change too, especially if Lupa wanted to ensure Rome's survival as much as they did.

Which, didn't it just make it perfect that hew as spending time with Reyna. That's what praetors were supposed to do, sure, but there was always this underlying...wall or something. Jason wasn't sure why it didn't seem to be there now. All the Romans talked about when they thought Jason wasn't listening was him and Reyna. He usually just ignored it but, honestly, didn't they have a point?

Besides, it was almost second nature for praetors to become a couple. Everyone knew that, a voice seemed to be saying in the back of Jason's mind. The voice probably should have been a clue that everything wasn't all right with Jason, but he ignored it.

Just as he ignored the root he was about to trip over until it was too late and he was pulling Reyna down with him...whoops. When did he become some clumsy?]

[Everything was different now. With Lupa even at this camp made things all the more strange. Reyna was counting for every possibility.

Reyna had been focusing too much on the hand in hers and pretending to survey the surroundings to notice him trip... So, despite her generally great reflexes, she fell to the ground with him.... With him on top of her to be precise. Which only made her blush crimson red.

She couldn't even come up with a good retort for it.]

[Yeah there was really no good explanation for why either of them should trip. Demigod reflexes. Battle instinct. Really, they should have been fine.

But, nope, Jason is now apparently pinning Reyna to the forest floor and also turning a little pink in the face. He doesn't look as uncomfortable as he should though.]

Uh...sorry Reyna. Guess I was distracted.

[He apologizes but doesn't exactly move to get up yet. Instead he's looking into her eyes and GODS does she have gorgeous eyes.]

[Reyna's trying to catch her breath as she stares up at him. She could easily flip him off of her, or move him in some way. But she doesn't. And he's staring at her eyes and she's staring back...

Her lips quirk, almost as though she's unsure of herself, but nods a little.]

No... It's okay, Jason... These things happen.

well it's been established that Jason falls under these spells easily so...

[Jason doesn't know what he's doing. He seems to be leaning closer, not pushing back. It's like there's a voice in the back of his head telling him he should be doing that. Close the distance, the voice says, kiss her.

And you know what, Jason isn't sure why a part of him wants to fight the voice.

He leans in close, brushing his lips over Reyna's as if testing the action.

[Well, he might have been leaning closer... But so was she. It only seemed logical right now and despite thinking that this was a little strange, that was quieted by more pressing matters.

Like her lips against his. Because brushing their lips was not nearly enough, not now that she had an idea of what it felt like.]

[When she does push him away or pull back Jason finds himself deepening the kiss, his breath mingling with hers and really starting to enjoy this.]

[She was, against everything, really enjoying this... Okay, and so her hand might be behind his head to keeping him close as she deepens the kiss back.]

[Jason shifted on top of her, making sure not to press too hard on top of her. He knew Reyna was by no means delicate but he also didn't want to hurt her or suffocate her or something equally ridiculous. One hand buried itself in the grass and he seemed to forget for a moment that they were in the woods of a Greek camp at all.]

[Reyna arches up closer to him, fingers threading in his hair.... And humming contently. She'd be more than able to flip him over if he was hurting her at all, he wouldn't have to worry about that at all.]

[An age passes, or so it feels and Jason pulls away. He does have to breathe after all and he's sure Reyna does too. Jason doesn't move too far back though, his face inches from Reyna's and he stares down into her eyes.

He looks a little lost for a moment, like he isn't sure what his next move should be.]

[When he pulls away, she lets out a breath and tries to remember to breathe... Breathing is important.

He looks lost and, well, it's endearing. She can't help but smile at him, cheeks flushed red.]

[He swallows. Reyna's face is flushed and for some reason that only makes her look as if she is glowing with an inner beauty.]

Reyna...

Jason...?

[Shes even more breathless than she imagined. His name was more whispered than anything else.]

[There is a voice in his head that is telling him he should probably stop this.

But the stronger urge was there. The urge to kiss her again. To stay with her and enjoy the presence of her company. The corner of his mouth twitches and he smiles slightly, the stronger voice taking over.]

Nothing.

[Oh that smile. Reyna can't help but smile back, also with the urge to kiss him again. This is strange, it's not exactly what she thought would happen... And something felt a little off about it all? But she had pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind with her other thoughts being so loud...

And you know, the fact that he was on top of her and they had been making out on the forest floor.]
