When you ate your breakfast this morning, you might have noticed it was delicious, even better than usual. Maybe the nymphs and harpies took extra care, or maybe there was a little Love Potion No. 9 in it.

I think I should save any favor gathering from the forge kids for something a bit more... I don't know. It'd be better to have them weaponize my playing. Rock till I bring down the house.

*Maya chewed on her lip a moment before heading to the training arena to wait for him. Her body language entirely different from before. She's even playing with her hair. What's up with that?*

Somehow? I have a feeling they'd be able to do that, too. Or you would. You're an Apollo kid, you guys kind of have a knack for figuring that stuff out.

[He raises an eyebrow at her - yeah, Maya is acting a little weird, but he'll let it slide.]

I think I'll stick to basics before I try to get really... creative. And it's nice that you have such confidence in me, I should be sure to show you what I'm really good at.

*Even if Maya's expression and body language scream one thing, she doesn't hesitate to take a proper combat stance. Although with that smile, she might just be really playful right now.*

[He takes a combat stance as well, taking Kathreftis out of his pocket and changing it from prism to Celestial bronze knife.]

*Maya hesitates, you would hope she was thinking of how best to approach. ...Before lunging with a wide swing. Of course, she has all the grace and subtle motions of a freight train with that move.*

[He ducks back, holding an arm up in front of his face as he sees her swing coming at him.]

*She uses the momentum to push forward, crouch, and sweep low.*

*But then she WINKS so she's definitely flirting.*

[He's nicked by the short sword, but that doesn't stop him from swiping at her again.]

No offense, but you're way too young for me.

*Somewhere between what he said and his attack meant Maya's dodge left her sorta sprawled on the floor. She's been burned by her youthful looks one too many times?*

How old do you think I am?

*She'll do her best to get back to her feet and in a fighting stance if he gives her the chance.*

I don't know. Thirteen? Fourteen, at the oldest.

[He waits a second for her to get up, back to her feet, before he lays on again, grinning and going invisible.

Well, at least you didn't say ten...

*Maya didn't bother to scan with her eyes, no point with Gabriel. She kept her sword up, and listened for the next move. ...However, sometimes it helps to bait them into revealing themselves.*

My last boyfriend freaked out when I took my shirt off, I figured someone older wouldn't be so squeamish.

*The pain of mentioning her past love was dulled by the magic Aphrodite had laid out on her. Plus... she wanted to see what Gabriel thought of that, or of her without a shirt.*

Okay, I'm usually all for girls taking their shirts off. Don't get me wrong.

[He's a teenage boy, like the rest of them. He's got hormones of his own, but Maya? No way.]

[He points between them with his knife.]

*Sadly she's been whammied so hormones is hardly the problem here. Also good job revealing your location, she'll just take a rather quick swipe at you with her sword. There is still a swordfight going on.*

Any reason other than my age? Because I haven't felt my age in months.

[He didn't mean to reveal himself, it just kind of happened - shock does that to you. She cuts him in the side, and he can feel blood trickling down his leg, staining his jeans.

I don't exactly like getting punished, you know. We have a centaur here - half horse - I don't know if you've ever seen it, but those things can kick, and I'm not a fan of going blasting off again.

Worried about getting caught? I figured of all the people here you'd be the least worried about that.

*The sight of blood however caused her to pause. She was trying to play, she didn't actually expect to get such a hit. She didn't want to damage him, right now her mind was other places. Plus, while he's had worse, this is one of the first time's she's actually hurt someone with her sword.*

You okay? I don't need another boy I like dying on me.

Caught by something vaguely person-shaped? I don't care. Caught by a guy who's half horse? That's a much bigger deal.

[Shit, she's still on this kick, and Gabriel can't figure out how to steer her in a different direction.

I figured between the Centaur and the God, the God would be the one to worry about.

*Maya looks at him a moment, trying to figure out if he's really worried about being caught, but relents when the topic shifts. She wipes her blade off with a rag and sheaths it.*

[He gives her a nod and holds his hand to the bleeding wound, trying to stopper it up while she's gone.]

*Doesn't take Maya long to come back with a square of Ambrosia*

I would just heal you myself, but my ability to sing in Greek isn't exactly reliable yet.

No big. My ability to sing at all isn't reliable.

Oh, I can sing. But apparently it needs to be in Greek for the whole prayer to my Dad thing to work.

*She hasn't really tried out the healing song bit of being an Apollo kid. Part of why she didn't trust it right now.*
