SITUATION POST: JULY 21, 2013 (APHRODISIA)

[Today, a single rose has been placed at the feet of the statue of Aphrodite in accordance with the laws for celebrating Aphrodisia.

When you ate your breakfast this morning, you might have noticed it was delicious, even better than usual. Maybe the nymphs and harpies took extra care, or maybe there was a little Love Potion No. 9 in it.

[Surprisingly, Heather's one of the only Romans that can keep up with him. She's small and light on her feet, like a nymph running away from a faun, almost, so he guess that explains a lot.

Once he gets down to the beach, though, he's tackled, and a clump of sand gets in his mouth, and he has to spit it out, turning his head to the side so it doesn't get all over her.]

Hey, I'm gonna be finding this stuff in places I don't wanna know about for weeks!

[excusing]

[ She just laughs breathlessly and proudly once he's tumbled to the ground and she's perched on top of him, leaning over with a few stray hairs in her face. There is a quiet voice in the back of her head that's asking her what the hell she is doing and why her mother is allowing this to happen. Can't a guy and girl be just friends or what? ]

I think we both won, on the bright side!

[ Clearing her throat, she rolls off him and flops onto her back. ]

Yeah, in this case? I'm good with a tie.

[As she rolls off him, he stands up for a second, brushing himself off. Jeez, having sand in your hair is one thing, but he's covered.

He doesn't remember Heather being so competitive in a long time. It's a little weird...]

Hey, can I ask you something?

[ In a matter of seconds, she is on her feet, brushing off bits of sand here and there, but she's mostly clean. It takes a lot of willpower not to help him clean up. Seriously. He's a grown boy, he can take care of himself.

At his question, though, Heather looks up brightly and nods, already listening raptly. ]

For you? Anything. I'm hanging on every word.

Well, that's the first time anybody ever said that to me.

[He chuckles awkwardly, then puts his face in his hands, rubbing it a little. Okay, Scott. Here goes.]

Is it just me, or is everybody acting really weird today?

[excusing]

[ Lookit how cute he is when he's confused. Granted, that's a lot of the time here, but that doesn't make him any less attractive when he does it. ]

Mom's doing, I'm sure. It's nice seeing everyone bright and cheery though!

[He furrows his eyebrows, thinking hard.]

It's like...it's like everyone's showing extra interest in eachother.

You know how she likes the drama of teenage romance. All of this is for her enjoyment.

[ As soon as the words leave her mouth, Heather freezes and the idea slowly dawns on her. Oh, no she didn't just let that happen to her daughter, did she? ]

Actually, I don't know. You'd think she'd let me in on this kind of trick, but noo. [ She covers her face because though the desire to attack his face with her face is still there, at least she's self-aware. And will be taking a step away from him just in case. ]
