SITUATION POST: JULY 10, 2013
[It pretty much goes without saying that ever since Camp Half-Blood's opened its doors to Roman and Egyptian-pantheon based children - and if the rumors are true, Norse as well - many unexpected things have been happening.
The Roman Legion is regaining its numbers, and every day more and more children with purple shirts pile into the Greek camp. Someone, however, has been missing - their guardian, Lupa, the Roman she-wolf goddess.
Imagine the surprise when on a regular Wednesday, at about 6:00 PM, on the nose, a lone wolf prowls through the magically-protected border. She sounds a loud howl, and about ten other female wolves come charging through the gates, blowing away everything in their path, and come to settle themselves in the forest.
Their alpha, however, is making her way to the Big House in search of her legionnaires.]

The moment that he hears it, he literally stops everything that he's doing as his head jerks up. While the she-wolf holds no sway over him as she would true wolves, it doesn't matter-- since day one he's had the utmost respect for the goddess. She was pack, same as his cohort was, same as the legion was, and he'd been worried for her since Camp Jupiter fell.
He doesn't hesitate to take off running to find her, catching her scent on the air and adjusting his course to meet her. ]

Her path to the Big House abandoned for a moment, she stalks up to Derek, looking up at him - though it's clear to anyone watching who is dominant in this situation.]
Derek Hale, hello.

Lupa. It's good to see you again.

But despite her instincts, Lupa isn't stupid, and she doesn't wish for any of her Romans to fall to harm. Instead, she does a sort of circle around him, prowling with her tail swinging from side to side nonchalantly.]
It's a pleasure to see you again as well, Derek. How does Rome fare here?

A second later he was heading in that direction as if summoned.]

There's no hesitation in the goddess's steps as she pads over to Jason, barking authoritatively towards him before speaking.]
Praetor Jason. I trust you've been keeping the Legion safe here at our temporary base?
no subject
Yes, at least since I got here a week ago. Reyna did the bulk of the work in my absence, we've been discussing ways to make sure our campers don't stray too far from the Roman ways.
[He then pauses and asks.]
Are you migrating out here now, Lupa? There's already a Child of Rome here who came to this camp before he could make it to Camp Jupiter.
[After all, it would be strange not to still perform THAT particular test. Though he had a feeling John wouldn't be so thrilled.]

[One of her ears flicks up, and she cocks her head to the side, interested.]
I've brought my pack here, yes, and some more should follow. We are hoping to set up a base when the time is right for new Romans to be led to and proved worthy. ...Is that so? I will have to meet with him.
[Lupa's quite rigid in her ways, after all, and she's not so sure if a Roman taught in predominantly Greek ways will be able to survive in the Legion.]

Derek Souza. I trust you've made it safely back here with our standards intact?

No, nothing so bad. Since you'd found me in Daly City, my pack and I have been traveling across the country to come here. It is not as simple for me to leave a place as other gods, you know.
[No, other gods could appear and disappear in the blink of an eye, and although Lupa could do the same, she was the alpha of a large pack. Every single one of them looked to her for guidance - she cannot abandon them.]

SOMEONE STOP HER
Or at least until she spots Lupa making her way to the Big House, then her eyes light up.
The game is suddenly forgotten as she makes her way over to Lupa. Someone should probably stop her before she treats the she-wolf goddess like a puppy by accident.]
NAOMI WHY
[What is it that she's walking over to? Oh its a giant wolf.]
[...]
[NAOMI NO WHAT ARE YOU DOING. Pardon John but he is going to sprint over to you and gently wind!float you into the air away from Lupa. Have fun being picked up by a pillow of swirling air.]
IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA
Naomi screams, flailing her arms and legs out.]

She's never met either of these two, though, and the she-wolf prowls toward them, tail raised.]

Derek had talked to her back on their quest, but it's infinitely better to hear the goddess herself.
She takes off without even thinking about it, forgetting her shoes in the process.]

Chloe inclines her head with respect.] Hello, Lupa. [And then a grin.] I am really happy to see you here.

So, when he does finally spot Lupa, it's less running to greet her, and more.. looking around the edge of a building to check if she's seen him.]

Cautiously, she approaches him, barking a hello.]
Dave Strider. I was wondering when I'd be seeing you.

[Rubbing the back of his neck, he moves out into view. Once he's a few feet away, he stops, and bows his head in an awkward show of semi-submission that looks strange on him.]
I didn't know you'd be comin'.
[Though, in hindsight, he should have expected it.]

Ventus Bradford. I trust you've found Jason alright, as well?
no subject
Yeah - they have us living together here, by our parents instead of by our cohorts. It's pretty weird.
