SITUATION POST: JULY 10, 2013

[It pretty much goes without saying that ever since Camp Half-Blood's opened its doors to Roman and Egyptian-pantheon based children - and if the rumors are true, Norse as well - many unexpected things have been happening.

The Roman Legion is regaining its numbers, and every day more and more children with purple shirts pile into the Greek camp. Someone, however, has been missing - their guardian, Lupa, the Roman she-wolf goddess.

Imagine the surprise when on a regular Wednesday, at about 6:00 PM, on the nose, a lone wolf prowls through the magically-protected border. She sounds a loud howl, and about ten other female wolves come charging through the gates, blowing away everything in their path, and come to settle themselves in the forest.

Their alpha, however, is making her way to the Big House in search of her legionnaires.]

[This Derek's scent is much fresher in Lupa's memory - after all, the werewolf had been the one to find her and her pack prowling around Daly City, back in California. He's easy to locate - just look for the brooding, dark-hearted boy.]

Derek Souza. I trust you've made it safely back here with our standards intact?

[He keeps a respectful - and careful - distance, eyeing her.] For a certain definition of safe. [They made it back alive, and he figures that counts for Lupa] Did something happen to bring you here?

[Lupa actually chuckles. For onlookers, it must seem strange to hear it coming from a wolf's mouth, but for a Roman, it's an average day. Lupa, after all, has quite the sense of humor.]

No, nothing so bad. Since you'd found me in Daly City, my pack and I have been traveling across the country to come here. It is not as simple for me to leave a place as other gods, you know.

[No, other gods could appear and disappear in the blink of an eye, and although Lupa could do the same, she was the alpha of a large pack. Every single one of them looked to her for guidance - she cannot abandon them.]

[That chuckle doesn't serve to set Derek at ease at all. He's not sure he wants to understand this particular god's sense of humour.

Still, he nods his understanding. Maybe a demigod would ask why, but Derek understands the bonds of pack. Even if his is small]
Then why are you here?

[She almost smiles, and some of her sharp teeth are bared. It's not a threatening gesture, though.]

Quite simple. I'm one of the protectors of Rome, the first step in finding and training new recruits for the Legion. It's my duty to be here.

[He's quiet for a moment] So you think this is definitely a permanent relocation, then.

[She has to think as well, and she's hesitant to say anything, because it's unbecoming that a nigh-omnipotent being doesn't know the fate of her own city.]

I'm not sure - at this point, I'd call it semi-permanent. Right now, we follow the words of Juno and Jupiter to keep Rome as safe as we can.

So it's a 'Rome is where the Romans are' kind of thing, then? [He snorts] I don't know how the Greeks are going to feel about that.
