First Tale: Arrival // IM

[always_right]

{A sixteen-year-old with large amber eyes, an upturned nose, and brown hair flickers into view, too close to the rainbow at first and then he pulls back, centers himself in the image.}

So, let’s applaud for the Rainbow Connection, everyone. Is that inappropriate to hum or sing? Anyway, I’m Stiles Stilinski. Not really sure what I’m doing around here yet, but I saw some other kid do this, so I figured what the heck, put my face out there a little early.

{His hands come in and out of focus as they wave about around the rainbow.}

So, things I ought to tell everyone....I’m human. Extremely human, and fragile, so all those swords should just stay sheathed around me, alright? Beyond that, I’d appreciate it if someone could give me a hand to where ever new arrivals are supposed to be.

{The colors start to bleed and fade away.}

{He cuts out.}

{If Lydia had paid any attention to him at all growing up she'd remember the way he was in and out of school with his dying mother, so it stings a bit that she doesn't remember even that much about him, or that his dad was literally the sheriff of their town and not a god. He sets it aside, though, well used to being forgotten by Lydia Martin, literal daughter of love.}

Yeah, I'm sure. Neither of my parents is a god.

[She studies him thoughtfully.] Maybe you can see through the Mists. Every now and then a human shows up who can.

[She cocks her head.] Didn't you used to hang out with Scott McCall a lot? He's here too. [A faint smile.] He'll be glad to see you. I think you're just what he needs right now.

[always_right]

{He shakes his head.}

I hear things, not see them.

{At the mention of Scott needing him, he straightens up and looks a little less starry-eyed.}

What's wrong? Is he alright?

[Lydia holds up her hands reassuringly as if to stave him off.] He's fine, I promise. It's just that some of the other Romans he was particularly close to have left camp on a quest so he's been kind of down about it. Which is why he'll be really happy to see you.

If you're not claimed by one of the gods as their child, and you don't think it's because you're able to see through the Mists - sounds like you've got something extra, maybe you fall in with the Egyptians or the Norse.

{Stiles relaxes a little bit, but is still figuring out the fastest way to find Scott in his head.}

Norse maybe, I'm clueless about Egyptians. Even their gods.
