Petal 09 -- IM/Action

[Jehan is out in his garden today, weeding and planting and basically being a son of Demeter. Not his poisons today, thankfully, but his flowers. Daisies, roses, tulips--all the flowers.]

I'll be making flower crowns for May Day next week, if people are interested! I know it's not really a holiday but after this odd winter, I feel it would be appropriate to celebrate the spring in some way.

[He smiles and goes to cut the rainbow before making a soft "oh" sound and turning back to it, blushing]

Oh, and...Nico, I. I was wondering if you would like to go with me on a trip of sorts. To Venice! Marianne has gone to visit her girlfriend and she said that if I wanted to stop by now that I can she would treat me and a friend to dinner. So...yes. Do you want to go to Venice?

Look, as long as there's no "Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus are cousins" type thing, where literally everyone knows they're a couple but the creator is trying to hide it, I am okay with open interpretations.

Sailor Moon! The anime and manga that totally has the story of Serenity and Endymion as the basis for the main love story? Sailor Scouts?

No, man. I never watched that.

[The 'it was for little girls, isn't it?' is left silent, because he knows how this ends and he really doesn't want Elizabeth on his ass. He's trying to do better, in any case.

Plus, he sort of kind of likes the backstreet boys and knows three whole members of one Direction's names. So he's one to talk.]

Oh, you're in so much luck, they're doing a new anime this summer and Marianne has the new manga volumes--she's the only reason I know of the series, but I loved it. You should really try it!

Jehan. I've never watched one of those in my life.

[He played the Pokemon games, but he never really watched the anime before, so even that's out.]

Sailor Moon's the only one I ever watched myself. It's almost like a faerie tale, really, or an old-fashioned myth, but with pretty girls and lesbians instead of buff guys.

I think I could get behind that.

[A little shrug.]

You'd like Luke Skywalker, too. He's about as honest and twinky as you can get.

Are you calling me a twink or saying my type is twink?

Mm, little bit of both.

[He laughs]

Maybe that's why we would never work as a couple, Gabe.

I mean, I don't really have a 'type', per se, but I could never be effete if I tried. I mean - you remember my beard.

[A little laugh, and his hand brushes Jehan's hair again.]

It's hard for me to see myself long term with most people, to be honest.

[There's a little bitterness here, but it's not strong, barely rises to the surface. He's...still kind of confused about what happened to him on Valentine's day.]

I can see it, but it'll have to be with someone stubborn and patient and who loves you utterly. Someone willing to put up with your...you-ness.

[angeliaforos]

Gonna be real for a second, I didn't know someone could be stubborn and patient.

[A little snort.]

Very few people put up with me for more than five minutes, JP. I'm wholly surprised when they do.

Patience is just a form of stubbornness. You're just nice about it. And those people are idiots. I've put up with you for years, haven't I?
