[ You'll find yourself looking at a grave centaur first thing this morning, just before the Romans start their training. ] Campers, I've an important announcement to make. Now, you know very well that we have protective borders around Camp Half-Blood. After last summer's incident, we've taken great care to ensure that we have several lines of defense with both force and Mist.

Followers of Lycaon - wolves - have been spotted just outside of camp. It is believed that they continue to align themselves with Gaea.

There have been no attacks, but I trust that all of you will keep your eyes and ears open for any signs of trouble. No campers will be leaving. [ Have a pointed look for some of you. ] However, we must keep our wits about us. Prepare accordingly. The Athena cabin has necessary information on the followers should you choose to educate yourselves on the matter. I hope you will.

All of this is very useful information. You've cleared a few things up, so I can start making a more definitive plan. Defensive strategy is key if they really are as dangerous as you say.

[a pause and then] If it's not too personal... How did you end up fighting a werewolf before? How did you manage to get away?

It was a hunting trip - me and my dad. We heard rumors about monsters, didn't think it would be anything big, but we went to check it out.

I dunno where my dad came across them before, but he was ready for them this time. They fought tooth and nail - literally - to keep their territory, but we managed to tag one between the eyes with one of these babies. [ From his pocket, Dean digs out a silver bullet and holds it up for inspection. ] Get a bunch more shots in, and they must've figured the town wasn't worth all that much. They turned tail and ran.

Quite the eventful hunting trip, it seems. It's lucky that your father had you prepared with silver bullets already.

The way you say it... does that sort of thing happen to you often?

Not werewolves, if that's what you're asking.

If not werewolves, what else have you seen? [now he's just being curious]

All kinds of things. You name it - me or my dad's probably seen it.

You seem to have lived a very interesting life, Dean. When we're not in immediate crisis mode with wolves at the door, would you be willing to share a few of those stories?

[untameimpala]

Yeah, man, no problem. Just say when and where. [ And maybe bribe him with some pie. ]

Once all this calms down, I will certainly let you know a time and place. [And pie will be provided. A trade's only fair, after all.]
