[Aqua has seen better days, and she acknowledges this, but that's what happens when you're a demigod. Finally reaching the Greek camp is actually something of a relief to her for three very important things. One: it's safety, and she can use a rest. Two: the Third Cohort should be gathering here, and she's been worried sick about them. Three: Ven's here, and she's been mostly worried about him.

So, here she is, using a strange Greek method of communication. This has got to be the strangest thing. Talking through a rainbow. Jupiter's coattails this had better not be a prank.]

Greetings. I'm Aqua Elwyn, daughter of Neptune and Centurion of the Third Cohort. I was told that I would be in Cabin Three?

[Aqua hopes that she isn't the only child of Neptune who has reached camp. Otherwise, it's going to be pretty lonely in there.]

I would like to extend my apologies to my cohort and to both praetors for how long it took me to get here, but I wished to help with the...evacuation. And I had some personal affairs to sort out.

[Though by "personal affairs" she means lying to her parents, but what choice did she have?]

Third Cohort, I hope you've been well in my absence. I'd ask for a report, but.... [She smiles a little sheepishly.] This might not be the time for it. I'll be more than happy to know that all of you are okay.

[Holy Neptune is she glad to see her cousin. She waves up at him, since he kind of zooms off before she can make a reply in the rainbow. Not that Aqua minds.]

[Good, because be prepared, Aqua. Because that is your cousin streaking through the air right at you less than a minute later, as fast as he can go. He pulls up just enough to not break her bones on impact but she's still getting tackled, his arms wrapping around her in a tight hug that ends up lifting her off the ground at first, too.]

You're finally here!

[Better to lift her up than to go down hard on the ground! Aqua can't help laughing.]

Yeah, I'm finally here! Sorry it took so long, Ven.

[Yes, much better! He's still grinning as he lowers them to the ground again, not at all sheepish at doing that. It's been months cousin he has been worried about you.]

You're okay, right? Everything's okay with your mom and dad, right? I was thinking about getting Callie to send me out there but I needed to stay and back up Jason and- But finally! Gods above, it's good to see you.

[Aqua doesn't hesitate to ruffle his hair affectionately.]

I'm fine, and my parents are fine. I just had to tell them that we, uh, moved to New York. How about you, Ven?

[And of course he reaches up to bat her hand away. He's as tall as you now Aqua, even if he did start growing late, stop iiiiiiiiiit. But he doesn't protest it now like he normally would.]

It's, ah... It's been interesting here. There's a couple of guys here who're Roman but only found out about it after New Rome fell, we've had some... altercations between a couple of the Romans and some of the Greeks and Egyptians. Things could be a lot worse, though, and we all know it - at least here we're mostly safe.

[He'll get to the part about the gods being incredibly nosy on this side later.]

[She nods as he speaks, frowning slightly. She'd been hoping that it wouldn't be so bad, but now she knows that was wishful thinking on her part.]

Sounds like a lot of work needs to be done. We'll have to take it a little at a time, though. Is there anything else?

Uhh... [He's honestly not sure how she'll feel about this one. He's not sure how he feels about this one. But she deserves to know.]

The gods - on the Greek side, they're a lot more... personal. I don't think Camp Jupiter saw a god in almost a hundred years, but they show up here almost once a month. At the very least we see the effects of their powers a lot more. They're... a lot more involved with the Greeks.

[That definitely makes Aqua pause to really let that sink in. The idea that there's a possibility of seeing Neptune--or Poseidon--for the first time...she's not sure how to feel about it. Heck, she doesn't even know what she'd say to him if she did meet him!

Yet, a small part of her hopes that he might be proud of her.]

If I remember correctly, that does add up to what I understand of both mythologies. The Greek mortals had more dealings with their gods than Roman ones. Jupiter took on a big change in comparison to Zeus, as far as interacting with mortals is concerned.

[Not that it stops Jupiter completely, but it does change.]
