[Well, hello there, Camp Halfblood, have a bored looking young man, crossing his arms, and staring out at you with an expression of boredom and arrogance at the same time. Surveying his kingdom, as it were. At least, until he huffs a little, and something of that drops into merely a sulk.]
It occurs to me, Gods favor and patronize whom they will, of course, but back in the real world, that I’ve left behind, there are places where we leave the children no one wanted so the rest of the population can get along with, and go about their daily lives without getting their wrists stepped on each morning, or god forbid, being forced into pretending that we’re all some sort of…happy family
[There would be airquotes around that, if Thomas wasn’t more polished, and as it is, they certainly can be FELT from the way he drawls it out like that. The disdain is more than palpable, even if it IS a tad bit overblown and ventures toward melodramatic.]
As I’ve so lately been informed, this may not be the real world anymore, but wouldn’t it be nice, just think of it, if there were somewhere we could stash the lot of you who Mummy or Daddy hadn't felt the need to bother with just yet until such time as you might become interesting?
And Gods forbid not getting walked all over, but can anybody get a decent cigarette round here at least?

[Hey, that's understandable. Thomas's attitude often gets him into that kind of trouble with people. There's being wary and there's being a little bitch about things. It's easy to see what he's doing. ]
Ah, I try of course. Maybe I should sell posters.

Instead of selling posters, why not set aside that chip on your shoulder? [easy for you to say, Hephaistion.] Living here at camp is a lot to deal with (even without the sarcasm), why not take some time before just writing the whole experience off as a loss?

Seems like that's a lot easier said than one. I take too much time and I end up letting somebody walk on me, what happens then? Have to figure out the food chain on the fly, but til I do, I'm not exactly taking risks, you know?

I wish you the best of luck finding your place on the food chain. I hope you won't be too disappointed when you find out the answer.

[Aww baby's made himself another enemy. Or at least not friend. Really, for Thomas, as fucked up as it is, that's a relief somehow. But yeah. "Unwanted". Reasonable assumption, right? Well, no not really at all. Real world logic versus camp logic. It can really bite you in the ass.]
Not if I manage to claw my way back up.
[And there's a little wave as he's leaving, cause why not, right?]
