[ What a time to be coming back to the Greek camp. Derek can't believe that his mom's kicked him out of California right before his birthday, but then again he's not really that surprised. Maybe she thinks it's an appropriate birthday present, actually giving him something to do and trusting that he'll make it to Camp Halfblood in one piece. Hell if he knows, he's just glad to be done with traveling.
He arrives on the outskirts while still wolf-shaped, shifting his weight back and forth before howling, like he's calling out-- he sort of is, for anyone in his Cohort that would recognize the cry, as well as to let Lupa know that he's back, if the goddess is still around. But after that, he weasels the strap of his bag off from around his neck so he can shift back.
When he's fully dressed again and adjusting the bag's strap so he can carry it over his shoulder, Camp Jupiter purple standing out, he slowly steps through the gates to the camp, brows raised while he scans the area, as if scoping out whether anyone's around or not.
At least he has some idea of where to go, even if it's been months since he was here. ]

[Tybalt practically melts out of the shadows near Derek once he shifts back into human shape. He's really, really good at blending in to them. Helps that all he really ever wears is dark colors, but still.]
A gift from one of your gods?

Slowly dusting himself off as he collects his thoughts, his jaw works a little. ]
We don't really talk about it that much. Tactical advantage. [ Well it's not a lie. ]
no subject
I'd get ready to talk about it a lot more. If the House has to share some of our secrets, I can't imagine it'll be long before the Pharaoh insists that some of your secrets are shared.
[Tybalt may be a tad bitter about that. He's naturally secretive and unlike Sadie and Carter, he was a magician raised when they didn't mix with the others knowingly. He likes Annie well enough and Hephaistion is fun to spar with but honestly? He'd like to go back California already.]

Purple shirt, so someone from Camp Jupiter, and the bag meant...
New person!
And who says she doesn't pay attention to things? She hops forward, finishing the length of the hop scotch court before running over to the newcomer.
Probably won't be recognizing you right away Derek, you were a wolf last time.]
Hey! Are you new?
no subject
Which wavers, the slightest bit, as he hears her voice and catches her scent. It's faint, but hey. After you get stuck in your wolf form for a while, you sort of remember the experience vividly.
The grin that he quirks now is a little more confident, if vaguely bemused. ]
Not so much new as I am actually sticking around this time. Chipmunk?
no subject
Wolfie!?
[The exclamations the only warning Derek's getting before she's catapaulting herself at him in a tackle hug.]
You're back!? Where'd you go? You were here 'nd then you left after we all got turned back to normal 'nd then everythin' happened with that weird room 'nd you're okay right? They didn't get you too, did they?
[No. She's totally not crying a little.]

He really, really misses living with his cohort again already.
But while the cabin doesn't seem any different, it does seem like new scents have filtered through while the ones he had known are gone. And one belongs to a pretty small looking kid, with some crazy looking hair. ]

[ Anna isn't much of a climber - or she'll deny it despite the fact that she's used it to her advantage quite a few times. She's a proper lady, you see, perched atop a strong branch with her hands folded over her lap and her ankles crossed.
She had been helping heal a tree after discovering a minor illness within its trunk when she heard the howl. ]
Was that you?
no subject
Not bad, huh.
[ Faint amusement crosses his expression. ]
What're you doing up there?
no subject
[ She looks mostly amused at herself, ducking her head bashfully as Anna usually does when meeting someone new. Well, meeting any new young man, anyway. ] I was just helping the tree, as it's been quite sick. [ She lifts a hand to push some leaves aside to see him better. ] Were you howling? It was quite good.

Great.
Sure enough, when Stiles gets outside of the Hecate cabin, standing there is Derek Hale. ] Dude, I so did the disappearing act first, you can't duplicate the original.
[ Stiles' absolute favorite person in the world. Can you see the sarcasm. ] That was a really subtle entrance, though, A+. [ Now can you hear it. ]
Re: action;
He pauses at the familiar voice, following it to look, and-- ] Stiles.
[ Dry amusement enters both his expression and tone, and he adjusts his bag on his shoulder. ] The only reason it's not subtle to you is because you're obnoxiously nosy and don't know the meaning of the word "no." Or "stay," either.
action;
I dunno what the hell made you disappear, but Scott's probably out of his freakin mind if he hasn't seen you yet. [ Stiles really, actually, doesn't get why Scott likes Derek so much. Maybe he will if he gets to know him someday
he has no idea, but for now, Derek's just a brutish Roman irritant who thinks he's right as much as Stiles is and happens not to be. ]action;

He arrives at the edge of the wood just as Derek is coming forward. He recognizes the older teen and gives him a nod in greeting.]
Derek. You made it back.
no subject
Hell of a long trip, but I'm glad to be back.
[ Much as he likes being with his pack, it's like choosing between two parts of your family when he's away from his legion. ]

[Jason won't say that he crashed into a tree when he got here. That wouldn't be very cool at all. Of course, others have had rough entrances too. So he could REALLY be talking about anyone...right?]

So, Dave comes face to face with Derek, looking up at him with one thumb hooked through a belt loop and the other arm wrapped loosely across his stomach, fingers drumming gently against his wrist.]
Couldn't keep away from the place, huh?
no subject
[ He fans his hands in a mock-shrug, shoulders twitching the slightest bit. It feels a little like it's been ages since he last saw Dave, saw any of his fellow Romans. It is, at least, good to be back with them.
Even if he's unwittingly stuck himself with them. Derek tilts his head the slightest bit, lowering his hands down to tuck his thumbs into his own belt loops. ]

Derek's here again. No way.
And he doesn't know - he doesn't know if Centurion Hale's sent his fellow legionnaire back, or what - he hasn't even heard from her in ages.
But Scott McCall is nothing if not loyal - to his family, to his friends, to Rome. But especially to his friends, and Derek? Intimidating (and sometimes a little creepy) that the guy was, he considers him one of his friends.
So he's heading over to the gates, only his sword at his side for once. The lacrosse stick he keeps with him is in the cabin - it's gotten worn out, anyway. He'll need a new one soon.]
Derek- hey, is that you?
no subject
A small, if slightly lopsided, smile quirks at the corner of his mouth, and he speeds up a little to emerge from the foliage and mists that surround the Greek camp. It's been a while since he last saw Scott, and while they weren't the best of friends, he was still pack in the wolf's mind.
Laura would be relieved to know he was still all right. ]
It's me.
[ He spreads an arm out, as if presenting himself for inspection. He's a little scruffier than the last time he was in camp, but it's been a while and he's been traveling for quite some time now. ]
Hey, Scott.
