Morning, campers! [A young woman with dark hair pulled into a low pony-tail and bright blue eyes is waving at you over the IM.] I thought I'd introduce myself to you. I just got in last night. Anyway, my name is Elizabeth Comstock, I'm a Daughter of Eris, and a Hunter of Artemis. I know the last time the Hunters were here, things didn't go over quite so well, and I really hope we can put that past us, and work to a new understanding. [She smiles broadly.]

Of course, if anyone has any questions about the Hunters, I'm more than happy to talk shop. But don't worry, boys, I'm not planning on spiriting away all your lady friends. That's not why Lady Artemis sent me here. [Well, not entirely.]

I'm all set up in Cabin Eight, and I was hoping I could maybe take a pegasus ride at some point today, if someone wanted to help me out there. It's been a while since I've ridden one as a camper. Feel free to drop in, come say hello. I just thought it was only fair to introduce myself. [There's a 'caw!' from outside the frame.] Yes yes, I'll introduce you too, Songbird. When we have visitors. [She looks back at the rainbow and gives a small salute before the rainbow dissolves.]

Good morning. [ Annabeth knocks on the doorframe to Cabin Eight. Not the world's greatest welcoming committee but she has had an interesting relationship with the Hunters of Artemis and she's interested in the the new presence at camp. ]

Are you settling in alright?

[toeverywhere]

Hey, you're... Annabeth, right? [She'd heard the name before, and she seemed like an Annabeth. And from what Artemis had told her... Probably her. From his perch, Songbird caws.]

Yeah. This place is a lot roomier than when I was staying in the Hermes' cabin way back when. And they've got some of my stuff from my last stay here! It's kinda nice to be back, off the road. And autumn in New York is beautiful.

[allnerves]

I guess Thalia's mentioned me. [ Annabeth lets a small smile pull at the corners of her mouth for a moment at the thought of the lieutenant hunter. They did fight side by side numerous times after all. ] I hope she's doing well.

[ She straightens her posture. ] I don't think we throw anything away here. You've come at an ... interesting time. We're glad for the assistance.

[toeverywhere]

She is. [Elizabeth says with a smile. Then, she adds,] she says hey.

It's surprisingly helpful, isn't it? But... I heard. From the combining of the Pantheons to what happened with the Red Room? We've been trying to hunt some of them down for information. And Lady Artemis is pretty eager to see what they're all like... Mind you, that's really not why I'm here.

[allnerves]

[ That gets her a major look of suspicion and Annabeth narrows her eyes, looking at her sideways. ]

Then why are you here? Besides offering the chance to join the Hunters and learn about the other groups?

[toeverywhere]

Because I'm the easiest to get along with, Annabeth, and that, and Shadow Travel makes it so I'm the best liaison the Hunters have. Artemis heard you needed help, and she wanted to make sure the girls were safe, too.

[She says it with a smile, of course, and patiently, too.]

[allnerves]

[ Oh right. She relaxes somewhat. Hey, it's been a stressful, frustrating month and a half for her. ]

How long has it been since you were last at camp?

[toeverywhere]

A few years. Probably close to ten. You kinda... lose track of time.

[allnerves]

I've wondered how that must feel, especially when you're nearing about a century of immortality. [ She's only guessing here, though Chrion's definitely mentioned it before. ]

[angeliaforos]

'Not so well' is an understatement.

[He snorts a little. It's not that he doesn't like being turned into a magpie, but...]

[toeverywhere]

We didn't really enjoy it either. Some of the other girls in the Hunt can be... You know how it is. Gives all of us a bad name, and scares away some possible recruits.

You look better as a human.

[angeliaforos]

Yeah, well. Maybe if you guys were a little friendlier with the approach?

[But Elizabeth seems to be doing a pretty good job.]

Move better, too. Wasn't the best at flying.

[toeverywhere]

[She sighs.] I know. Some of the girls feel like we have to make up for something, when we're around you. Really impress you. But it just backfires.

[Songbird swoops from his perch down to her shoulder.] Takes some getting used to, doesn't it, Songbird?

[angeliaforos]

There are ways to impress me, and most of them don't include getting all high-and-mighty.

[He snorts a little, leaning back on the roof of the Iris cabin.]

See? Infinitely jealous of her skill, right there.

[toeverywhere]

What would they include? [She raises an eyebrow.] Great moves on the dance floor?

Songbird's had years of practice. He's the best flier there is, isn't that right? [He caws in response.]

[angeliaforos]

No. I like girls who are genuine and who know how to take things seriously, but, y'know, can appreciate a good sense of humor.

[The ability to kill him's also a plus.]

Oh, shit. I didn't know your bird was a dude.

[toeverywhere]

Sounds like I'm your type. [She's joking. Seriously.]

Yeah. The only man that's a constant in my life.

Action

[renegadehero]

[Sojourner was always excited when she heard a Hunter was in "town", so when she heard that one was in she made a beeline for Cabin Eight with only a small nagging feeling that this Hunter seemed familiar.

It didn't click how until she arrived and then the night Papa and her were attacked flooded back to her. Well, at least pieces. She still didn't remember much, but she did remember the Hunters coming. She remembered one asking if she was okay before she passed out and-

All she can do is gap at Elizabeth.]

[toeverywhere]

[Not the welcome wagon she was expecting. She turns, holding a book in her hands when she sees a young woman looking at her like she'd just seen a ghost. She waves, putting the book down on her nightstand.] And hello to you, too.

[renegadehero]

It's... It's you!

[Followed by a series of dramatic gestures that ends in her pointed repeatedly.]

Like really- Holy molely!

[toeverywhere]

[Okay, color her a little bit weirded out right now, but she takes a step back, Songbird flying down to sit on her shoulder.] The last time someone said that to me...

[Had been back in Columbia. She's almost about to grab a weapon. Almost.]

Do you know me?

[renegadehero]

Yeah! Oh- uh, sorry! Yeah!

[Belatedly she remembers that pointing is rude. She drops her hand, smiles sheepishly as she rubs her arm.]

I mean, maybe. Back before I came here a group of Hunters saved my Papa and I from hellhounds. You uh, I mean you look like one of them.

[toeverywhere]

[Okay. At ease, Lizzie. She nods, drawing a breath.] Yeah, that was me. Now that you say it, I remember- sorry. Things really just... blend together. I'm glad to see you're alright.

[She offers a smile and a hand to shake.] I'm Elizabeth.

[renegadehero]

[She takes the hand almost immediately, the sheepishness falling away as her grin spreads wider. Oh wow. This is almost like meeting a superhero. No wait. It's better.

Elizabeth is a bonafide hero.]

It's cool! I never really expected to be remembered, heh. Just, big shock y'know? And thanks! I mean, for back then. Papa and I would've been toast if you guys hadn't come!

Oh! Right. I'm Sojourner!

[toeverywhere]

[Elizabeth is smiling back at her, too.] Wow, thanks. It's really, really great to hear that, y'know? We don't get a whole lot of thanks, unfortunately. Comes with the Mist.

I'm just glad we were in the area to help you, Sojourner. And it's great to meet you. [And she means every word of it.]
