[Alcuin's grateful for one of the powers he inherited from his mother, for once- at least he doesn't have to show the whole camp how hard he's been crying. He looks as pretty as ever, but his aura of calm and happiness has been replaced by one of intense purpose.]
I need to learn to fight better than I do. Sword, dagger, bow and arrow, hand to hand- I need to improve my skills. Would anyone be willing to tutor me? I'll owe you a big favour.

[He'll find a way to destroy them and he'll take it, no matter what it costs him.]

Still, another thought crosses her mind, and her hand instinctively goes to the whip at her hips.]
It's quite frustrating that we're stuck in camp, though. We should be out in the mortal world, finding each member of the group and cutting them down.

[He appreciates her agreement, though. And her frustration with not being out in the world doing something.]
Though finding a few at first and getting information might be a start.

[She gets an idea, though, and moves to stand.]
The Athena cabin may not have books on the Red Room itself...but it could have important documents on Gaea and her own children. Perhaps if we read them...we might be led to more clues about those who may be plotting our demise.

[He has to talk to Chiron about that. Delaunay asked him to do it.]

That's good thinking on both your parts. Perhaps we would make it into an official quest.
I'd want to accompany you, if you'd allow it.

[He wonders if it's a quest if he knows exactly where they're going, but any foray into the outside world might be dangerous enough to count.]

[She doesn't regret the punishment for a second, though. Her dragons are worth the knockback from the invisible force guarding it from her.]
I can't sit by idly any longer on this. It is time to take action, especially since...now we've found they will kill those who are long gone from this camp.

[He clenches his fists. He's not trained yet, but he'll get better. He'll be able to fight.]

[Her eyebrows are furrowed, and the black dragon on her shoulder blows smoke from his nostrils - he can tell his mother is annoyed. Just speaking about this situation gets her angry, and her skin's feeling hot...]

[It makes him want to scream. He doesn't though, he has better control than that.]

[Her hand begins to smoke, but she hasn't noticed it quite yet. Drogon, though, has, and actually crawls down her shoulder to her arm, sensing the heat.]
We aren't even allowed to leave with a satyr, of all things.

[Or he's willing to try charmspeaking him if he must. He isn't going to let anything stop him.
He catches sight of her arm and double-takes.]
Daenerys, your hand...

[He tries to see something around her that she could use to smother or douse the fire, but he has no idea what the hell is going on the first place.]

...yes, Alcuin?

[Her hand doesn't look burned, but- it was definitely on fire.]
no subject
[She lets out a shaky breath, and Drogon curls up near her still-warm hand.]
Please...do not tell anyone of what's just happened.

[Now that he knows she's all right, he relaxes.]

I'll hold you to it. It's my secret to bear, and I'm sorry you had to experience it.

[Everyone has difficult powers to deal with- charmspeak and the ability to control desire are no game, after all. Who could trust someone with those? So he understand wanting to keep it quiet and not bothering anyone else with it.]

[She holds up her completely unscathed hand to Alcuin. At the very least, that's a part of the Blessing she's proud of.]

[There are so many ways that could be useful, but he's sure she's thought of them.]

[Fortunately for Dany, there shouldn't be any reason for her to walk headfirst into funeral pyres.]
