Petal 01 - IM - open to action or whatever
[The IM today shows the recently arrived counselor of the Demeter cabin, rubbing the back of his neck a little awkwardly. When he speaks, he has a light French accent]
Sorry I haven’t been to camp in a while. [More like "since the whole Titan fiasco started"] Mama--ah, my stepmother, not..you know--didn’t want me over in the States with all the chaos going on and then there was a problem with my passport. For those of you who are new, I’m Jean Prouvaire of the Demeter cabin, though I really prefer it if people use 'Jehan'. I'm the counselor for my cabin as well.
[He smiles]
Um, if anyone needs any help, anything at all, I’d be happy to help. You don’t have to be in my cabin or anything. I’m usually outside somewhere and if you can’t find me one of the nymphs should be able to.
[He waves and cuts the IM]

As good as it ever is. Did you say Norse? And magicians?
no subject
As I said, a lot has been happening.
[He sighs, dragging a hand through his hair. A lot has been happening and Enjolras hasn't been sleeping properly.]
To begin, Camp Jupiter has been destroyed.
no subject
[And bodes terribly for the rest of them.]
Were the...camps or wherever of the Norse and the Egyptian kids destroyed too?
no subject
[He offers an apologetic smile. He really didn't.]
As for them... I have no idea. Hera seems to be guiding them here.
no subject
[This is going to be a fun summer. Jehan might have to stay in the states this fall if it's that bad.
It takes him a moment, but he frowns when he realizes who Enjolras said is guiding kids here]
...Hera? Why is Hera doing that and not Hermes or the saytrs?
no subject
[It will be an interesting summer, to say the least. It's already been rather eventful. He hasn't even scratched the surface of things that have gone on so far.]
That is a mystery. No one seems to know.
no subject
[Joy.]
Anything good happen this year at all?
no subject
[Doesn't seem likely.]
Yes, some good has happened though nothing out of the ordinary. Well, except the elephant.
no subject
[Seriously. The what.]
no subject
[And before Jehan can ask he raises his hands.]
I didn't name it, the Romans did. He's apparently their "war elephant". We brought him back from Camp Jupiter after the quest and it was the longest ride of my life.
[He knows the entire score of Phantom of the Opera thanks to Gabriel.]
no subject
[Of course Jehan would read Red Dragon and all of that. Of course he would]
You didn't tell me you went on a quest! I missed everything, didn't I?
no subject
[It takes him a moment to remember Red Dragon, because of course he probably borrowed it from Jehan. There's a small laugh.]
Well, no. I think he's named after Hannibal the conqueror. And yes, yes I did.
no subject
[Therefore, he is right]
What was it like? It wasn't as mad as Percy and Annabeth's quests have all been, was it? Who went with you?
no subject
To be honest? It was a bit nerve wracking.
[He'd never been on a quest after all.]
I went with Gabriel from the Iris Cabin and Reyna, she's one of the Romans. I'm not sure if it was as mad as the quests Percy and Annabeth have, but we were sent to aide a group that had gone before us to retrieve Standards from Camp Jupiter. Though we got a bit distracted along the way by a manticore.
no subject
Manticore? Was anybody hurt? What went wrong with the first group? Were they hurt?
[There needs to be a Demigod Newsletter or something. Jehan hates playing catch-up like this.]
no subject
They weren't hurt, to my knowledge, but Hermes came to Chiron foreseeing them falling into trouble which is why we were sent. By the time we met up with them though they'd been suffering nightmares courtesy of Gaea.
[There really should be, Enjolras hasn't even mentioned the fact that Natalie and Percy fell into Tartarus. Along with what they found out while down there.]
no subject
That I heard about. Can't we get a break?
no subject
Doesn't seem likely, and it only seems to be getting worse.
no subject
[He sighs]
Titans and magic and elephants, oh my.
no subject
Oh my, indeed. That's not even including the Red Room.
[Enjolras sighs, dragging a hand through his hair.]
I fear things might get worse before they get better.
no subject
no subject
"Gaea’s vaulted Red Room waits.
Halflings as the final bait."
[And to say he's lost a lot of sleep trying to decipher the prophecy is an understatement. It's safe to assume he knows the entire prophecy by heart now.]
From what Natalie and Percy told us, they're a group of demigods who are recruiting others and feeding those who oppose them to Gaea.

no subject
[Another sigh.]
Sorry, this isn't the best of greetings.
no subject
[He smiles]
Any injustices you're interested in fighting against?
