[Well, isn't this a sight for sore eyes. Courfeyrac's been gone for what-- nearly a month now? He doesn't look any more refreshed than before he left. He's out, leaning against the Aphrodite cabin in the shade.]

Bonjour, camp... I apologize that I was gone longer than I originally anticipated. My sisters did not want to let me come back....

[But his step-mother on the other hand...]

I return with gifts, of course. Will someone assure me I didn't miss anything exciting while home?

[He'd greet you with a smile, Eps, but he's still not feeling it. Reaching into the duffel bag at his side, he pulls out a box with her name on it and presents them.]

[she knows fake smiles. Don't give her fake smiles. She leans up against the wall of the cabin, opening up the box.]

How're you doing?

[He closes his eyes and shrugs, leaning against the wall.]

Didn't really want to come back, but I figured camp would miss the satyr I dragged along with me.

Good to know you missed me that much.

[She takes a bite of a macaroon.]

I missed you.

[He doesn't open his eyes, or even try to back track on any of it... Instead he just sighs.]

[ospreyed]

No, [Eponine says quietly after a moment, setting her macaroon back in the box.] You didn't.

[dandylicious]

And you know this how?

[He's still pretty irritable. Sorry.]

I donno. I wouldn't miss me if I was in France for a month.

They're good... They miss having me around-- but it's not like I was ever allowed to be around much when I was at home in the first place.

Yeah-- and because my parents were happier when I wasn't there.

It's why I went home when they were on an extended business trip.

[Ep presses her lips together, setting the macaroons down and sticking her hands in her back pockets. Her weight shifts slightly to her heels, then back to the balls of her feet.]
