[Steve is spending time out at the fireworks beach, today. He certainly isn't annoyed over not getting shooting lessons, not at all. In any case, he's distracting himself by sketching, mostly scenes of the Brooklyn he remembers, his and Bucky's old rooms and the like. He looks up after a moment and waves, with a small smile. (Please do ignore the wheezing that happens every so often, allergies are a bitch.)]

Hey. So -- I'm pretty decent with a pencil, I like to think. So I guess, um, I'll offer up sketches or drawings or whatever you want. Just let me know, huh? I'll be around here for a while.

[With an extra inhaler just in case. But sure enough, Bucky's out there in no time flat, flopping down next to Steve. He has a paper bag]

[And there's a grin.] Oreos? [He takes a moment to shuffle through some sketches, finally coming up with some of the prototypes he'd shown Annabeth a few days ago.]

[He pulls out the unopened thing of Oreos, grinning and handing them over to Steve]

They taste different now, but they're still Oreos. What's that?

["That" referring to the prototypes. He's not sure what he's looking at]

Swell! [In that case, he will be chowing down, trying to avoid getting chocolate crumbs on the papers.]

Uh, it's a shield. Like the one I was talkin' about a while back.

[He flips through the pictures as he snacks]

Yeah, light enough so I can carry it an' throw it, but we're gonna make it so it's strong and comes back, too.

[What. Bucky gives Steve a sidelong glance]

You want something light enough that you can use it, but strong enough and somehow magical enough that it bounces?

She said a fella called Leo could do it. We're still workin' on plans, though.

Outta what? There's no metal that can do all that.

I dunno, I ain't a Hephaestus kid. But Annabeth said she can do it, she was gonna add some stuff on her computer.

If they can make you a shield like that, I'll be impressed. That's impossible, Stevie, or just about.

I dunno, have you seen what Annabeth can do?

I'm not saying you can't plan it. There's no metal like that, though.
