So I’m guessin’ the giant stone things are a new thing? No one ever mentioned ‘em before, just guards and a dragon.

I'm not very well-versed in Greek or Roman mythology, but I do believe we have children of Jupiter and Chione.

Like I said, I don't know a lot of it myself, but they are gods of the sky. I think Chione is a goddess of the snow?
