[Jehan is smiling softly when the IM starts]

Ah, I know that the theft is on everyone's mind but until Chiron and Mr. D can find the thieves, I'm not sure worrying about it will do anyone any good. So, Peeta and I--mostly Peeta--thought that maybe the Demeter cabin should run a sort of Valentine's café in the Big House next Friday, as a sort of distraction and a place for people to take their sweethearts since...camp doesn't really have a lot of places like that.

[Dany's still frustrated about the other day, with her own little rescue mission getting interrupted and all. She knows it's for the best - Enjolras is right, she didn't think it through well enough, she barely even knew where she would go once she properly left camp.

She sighs a little, offering Jehan a tiny, tired smile. She knows who he saw, how it must've affected him, but she's barely gotten to talk to him. Her only thoughts since the werewolves were here have been dragons, dragons, dragons.]

It's a nice thing for you to even offer, Jehan.

It just sounded like a good idea. Food makes everyone feel better.

Speaking of--how are you doing, mon amie?

[Okay, Nico, you can do this. Acting like nothing's wrong is a specialty of his almost perfected to the point of it being a form of art, curse it! He's so frustrated with himself it's not even funny.

Once he's reasonably sure he isn't about to run screaming in the other direction at the idea he has, Nico shadow travels to where Jehan is. It's a short distance, so it doesn't wind him too much. It's still a drain, though.]

I'm...not one for Valentine's Day, but...uh, if none of you mind, I'd like to at least stop by the kitchen or wherever you're cooking at?

[Jehan jumps a little but he smiles when he sees Nico]

Of course! It won't bother me, and I don't think it'd bother Peeta either.

[Yeah, making people jump amuses Nico, even if it's Jehan. He's unrepentant.]

Then I might pop over at around noon.

[He hesitates.]

How are you doing?

I'll make sure there's a space for you.

[Jehan shrugs]

Fine, I suppose. Why?

[Nico blushes lightly and looks away. Expressing concern for someone not part of his family is a little hard.]

From what I understood, you'd been having a rough week last I saw you, so....

I'm trying not to think about it. It just hurts when I do.

[He sighs, picking at a loose thread on his jacket]

[Nico can understand that pretty well. Tentatively, he walks over, feeling very self-conscious as he places a hand on Jehan's shoulder.]

If it...gets to be overwhelming, I'll be there for you, even in the middle of the night. That's if you want me to.

[He smiles at Nico and pulls him into a brief hug]

You're sweet, Nico. Thank you.

[Blushing a little darker, he shrugs and takes a small step back after the hug.]

It's nothing. Um...do you know what Peeta's making for your cafe idea?

[Totally smooth transition to another topic, Mr. di Angelo.]

Delicious food?

[He laughs, shrugging]

I don't know, he's honestly the better chef out of the two of us. I just make things I like or that other people like.

[Nico relaxes when the older demigod starts laughing. Okay, good, he's done something right.

He tilts his head.]

You cook, too?

Yes! Mostly sweet things and my favorite dishes, but I can cook anything I've tried to make so far.

Huh. [He learns something new everyday.] Have you tried making Italian before?

Oh, yes! I love pasta and homemade pizza made with homegrown everything is one of my favorite dishes. I know pizza's not true Italian, but...

But it's still pretty good.

[It amuses him to no end when people legitimately think pizza is Italian.]

Maybe one day I'll taste-test an Italian dish you make.

And almost everything I put on it can be used in pasta, so.

[More laughter]

That'd be wonderful, petit.

Makes gathering ingredients easier.

Fair warning, it's been a long time since I've had anything like that. I'll probably be only able to tell you if it's good and not really notice if anything's missing.

Bah, if something's missing it's not meant to be there. Simple.

[He chuckles.]

That's one way of looking at it. Do you have a favorite?

Favorite what?

A favorite dish. Other than the dessert. I'm acquainted with your sweet-tooth well enough by now.

[He grins]

Ah, not really? I love almost everything I eat. Raspberries are evil, though, and I don't like super spicy dishes.

Are you not fond of the taste of raspberries or is it a texture thing?
