[One very exhausted centaur starts the IM up this morning at around eight. The wolves are gone and Allison's hunters are all taken care of as well.

He's getting too old for this]

Thank you, campers, for your defense of the camp last night--and thank you Gale Hawthorne, for trapping one of the wolves and Hephaistion Amyntoros, for activating the shabti sent to us by Pharaoh Kane. Sadie Kane and Natalie Goodman also deserve our thanks as they captured one of the mortal invaders. Mr. D and I will question the captured werewolf and decide what to do with him later. I would also like to remind the camp that no matter what, all of you are safe here until you are proven to be a threat. Should I find anyone attacking another camper because of who or what they are, I will not be happy. As for Miss Argent, she has been allowed by the gods to stay in camp despite her behavior as she has no where else to go. This means she, too, is covered by that rule.

[This is mostly said for Scott and Derek's benefit.

He sighs]

Unfortunately, while we were otherwise distracted with the werewolves and Miss Argent's allies, the Red Room managed to infiltrate our borders. Demeter's counselor Jean Prouvaire informed me that he saw former legion member Zane Jolton coming out of the Athena cabin. One the harpies also saw someone driving off in Dean Winchester's Impala. We are doing a sweep of the camp to determine what they were after and I am ordering everyone to stay in the camp until we can get a retrieval quest together.

[End the feed. He may or may not respond to people as he's busy with the werewolf and the hunter. Later, the harpies will find these items missing]




There's a sign. The sign is actually posted on all of the cabin doors as well. As much as it felt inappropriate, it had to be done.

The following campers have broken the rules and have been punished appropriately.

Anna Arendelle. For disobeying her counselor's orders to stay inside and recklessly endangering herself, she has been assigned weeding duty in the strawberry fields for a week, no powers.

Lydia Martin and Gale Hawthorne. For leaving the camp unchaperoned, they have been assigned to the stables for a week and will have a daily check in with a counselor/Praetor for three.

Callie Jacob. For repeated and long term antagonistic behavior, a refusal to cooperate with those who approached her with concerns, and for abandoning her chaperone in the trip to New York over Christmas, she has been removed from her position in the Third Cohort and is back on proabtio. Miss Jacob has been made aware of the requirements to restore her position as have her Praetors.

Allison Argent. For betraying the trust of the gods and the camp and bringing in mortals who injured several campers, the Artemis cabin no longer welcomes Miss Argent as a camper. As she cannot leave the camp, Miss Argent has been moved.

It's signed "Chiron". No one will be told where Allison has moved to unless she tells them, and it's not likely anyone will know what Callie's requirements are either.

[[Callie's requirements to return to Legionnaire status are: two people must vouch for her behavior this time, and one must be a counselor/Centurion/other person in a position of power. One of those people also must be from another pantheon as her behavior affected all of the pantheons present here.]]

[ His hand raises, and he waves it in the air semi-dismissively. ]

What you'd expect, when an idiot has a gun with silver bullets on a full moon.

Did he realize it was you and stop or did he waste his bullets trying to hit you?

Didn't have a clue. Which was for the best at the time, because we had enough to deal with waiting for Lycaon's wolves to barge in.

I didn't need him trying to hunt me down.

[willyouwalk]

You still don't need him trying to hunt you down. We've got bigger problems than his prejudices.

[arracht]

The prejudices I'm used to. [ Not that he sounds thrilled about it. ] Anyone who thinks they're going to act on them can take it up with Chiron, Mr. D, and Lupa. I'm sure it'd go wonderfully.

[willyouwalk]

I'll bring the popcorn.

[He snickers]

When do you think they'll send out a retrieval quest? From the sounds of it, a lot of valuable items were taken--including the dragons.

[arracht]

[ Derek isn't even going to comment on the fact that they'll apparently have to get through a slew of campers before they can get to the heads of camp. ]

Once everyone's done licking their wounds, probably. Gods know what they're going to do with the dragons.

[willyouwalk]

Mm. I'm not sure if I'm worried or if I feel sorry for the ones who took them. They're dragons. Who thought kidnapping them was a good idea?

[arracht]

I'm a little bit of both, to be honest.

Though I hope whoever took them learned the hard way that they didn't have willing hostages.

[willyouwalk]

Maybe we'll be able to track them by the smell of burnt flesh.

HAHA THIS IS GOING TO BE IRONIC IN HINDSIGHT LATER.

[arracht]

It does have a distinct smell.

And apparently your gods like it.

AND BY IRONIC I MEAN HIDEOUS.

[arracht]

[ Derek lifts his hands in a rather what are you going to do? gesture. ]

They like a lot of things that I'm not even going to think about.

OH GOD

At least they're all human? Most of ours aren't naturally human.

AHAHA. HAAA.

[arracht]

I don't know, quite a few of them used to be big on transforming into animals to have affairs with mortals.

[willyouwalk]

[A long pause as Tybalt processes that]

At least that's not a problem with us. Are you serious?

[arracht]

Helen of Troy? One story goes that Zeus went to her mother, Leda, as a swan and seduced her.

[ Derek tips his head towards Tybalt again, raising his eyebrows. Yeah. ]

[willyouwalk]

[Tybalt mutters something in Egyptian and rubs his temples]

And here I thought our scorpion goddess was disturbing. How--no, never mind. Don't answer that.

[arracht]

[ That gets a laugh out of him, though it gets cut short as Derek cringes and sets his hands over his stomach. ]

Welcome to the Greco-Roman pantheon.

[willyouwalk]

I am never complaining about the weird stories in our pantheon ever again. Not even Osiris's resurrection myth is that disturbing.

[arracht]

Which one is that? [ Greco-Roman he knows. Egyptian? He's a little rusty on. ]

[willyouwalk]

I told you, it's a bit disturbing, and this is only one version, but...

[But Tybalt explains it anyway. Osiris was going to be crowned King of the Gods after Ra retired and Set was pissed. Set then came to the coronation with a gold sarcophagus and went on about how it would grant whoever could fit into it amazing powers. Everyone tried except Osiris until Set goaded him into it. He fit and then couldn't get out, effectively dying.]

Then, depending on who's telling it, one of two things happened. Isis fled with Horus and found away to restore Osiris to life but only so long as he remained in the afterlife or Isis fled with Horus and left Osiris's body behind to get eaten or chopped up. When she went back for it, she was told she had to find the pieces and then he could be restored. She found them all...except for his junk and that's why he's king of the afterlife instead of the gods.

[arracht]

[ Derek is, of course, attentive while Tybalt tells the story. A not-quite-secret part of him is fascinated by the history of their pantheons-- history in general, really-- so he's more than interested in hearing it.

Even if his face scrunches a little when the magician gets to the end. ]

I think we can safely say that all of our pantheons have some pretty bizarre stories, whether it's bestiality or outright dismemberment.

[willyouwalk]

Or in some cases, both.

[He laughs]

And they wonder why humanity's so odd.

[arracht]

[ Expression deadpan, he sarcastically does jazz hands before setting them on his stomach again. ]

We're a grabbag of their best and worst. [ A bit of a smile cracks, tired as it is. ] Of course we're odd.
