[Well, if this isn't the cherry to top off this shit-sundae, Tony doesn't know what is. He's a veritable orphan and yet the prodigal son, is thisclose to a double PhD which he could use to finally escape his name and make a better one, when lo and behold... he's sentenced to indefinite probation at a summer camp. In December. Because of his father. Sperm donor. Whatever.
Merry freaking Christmas.
He elected to postpone any kind of tour and all too soon, and still completely unprepared, found himself at his cabin. With his... siblings. And he can still barely suppress the painful feeling that punched him in the gut the moment he arrived.
This feels like home.
Instead of just embracing the feeling, of course, he's fighting it and off on his own, brooding. As has become habit the past few days. He has some graph paper and a pen and is pretty consistently either sketching or staring off into space.]
{Tony can be found in the Hephaestus cabin, around the cabin, and possibly down by the lake. Wherever it would make sense to sulk for a bit while he sorts out his brain-space and stifles down the unsettling feelings of both belonging and repulsion. Not to mention ignoring exactly what day it is.}

No worries! I am queen of slow.
I hate being cold.
[Hence the coat and gloves and scarf and the way he's hugging his knees to his chest, sketchbook and pencils abandoned to his side.]
oh good we can be friends on that
I dunno, it's better than being hot. I'd rather it be -10 degrees than 30.
[ Celsius ftw. In case his accent didn't give away that he's French. ]
♥
I'll take the heat, thanks. I'm escaping to Cali someday, if I ever get my life back. [He smirks. Even without the whole demi-god-thing, it still would have been a long time before that was a possibility.]
[He holds out a hand in greeting.]
I'm Tony.

Hollywood huh? I dunno where I'm gonna go, to be honest. Feel like I like traveling too much to have one place in mind.
no subject
Traveling's great, but I like to have a home base.
[He shrugs. He's never really had the opportunity to travel, Boston was his first escape from the confines of home for any period of time. And now this place.]

[ Some call it running away, but he doesn't. ]
So, you're new around here, right?
no subject
Fair enough.
[He nods.] Yeah, dropped in a few days ago. [read: was dropped off with or without his own consent.]

And it must've made your holidays to find out you were half-immortal.
no subject
I found out a few months before I checked in, so, I thought I was prepared. [He shakes his head, smiling absently]
But enough about me, seriously, I'm boring as hell. How long have you been here?
no subject
Just arrived to demigod camp and you're "boring." Mmmhm.
But to answer your question... uh, 5 years now? Merde, I'm old.
no subject
I wouldn't believe me either.
[Then he laughs. He might not know a lot of French, but everyone knows that word]
Shit, guess they really like you to stick around. When do they finally kick you to the curb?
no subject
When you become an adult, I think. 18's the usual limit. But might be different if you arrive later than normal, not really sure.
no subject
Good to know. Unless there's something I'm missing, I don't think I'll be sticking around any longer than I have to.
