Mark I || Action
[Well, if this isn't the cherry to top off this shit-sundae, Tony doesn't know what is. He's a veritable orphan and yet the prodigal son, is thisclose to a double PhD which he could use to finally escape his name and make a better one, when lo and behold... he's sentenced to indefinite probation at a summer camp. In December. Because of his father. Sperm donor. Whatever.
Merry freaking Christmas.
He elected to postpone any kind of tour and all too soon, and still completely unprepared, found himself at his cabin. With his... siblings. And he can still barely suppress the painful feeling that punched him in the gut the moment he arrived.
This feels like home.
Instead of just embracing the feeling, of course, he's fighting it and off on his own, brooding. As has become habit the past few days. He has some graph paper and a pen and is pretty consistently either sketching or staring off into space.]
{Tony can be found in the Hephaestus cabin, around the cabin, and possibly down by the lake. Wherever it would make sense to sulk for a bit while he sorts out his brain-space and stifles down the unsettling feelings of both belonging and repulsion. Not to mention ignoring exactly what day it is.}

Dragons just weren't something he'd ever considered beyond a fleeting thought and one drunken escapade in China Town he can't actually remember all of so, moving on...]
Yeah, looks that way. Friends of yours? [He nods in the direction of her dragons.]

[She moves to actually get off the bed now, properly standing proud and tall and smoothing off her skirts to actually greet Tony properly. She gives him a once-over and a small smile]
Daenerys of House Targaryen, daughter of Hephaestus and mother of dragons.

He stands there awkwardly, still at a distance, wondering if this is where he bows or if offering a hand to shake it acceptable. He manages to amp up his smile a notch instead, and nods in greeting. It's as formal as he can manage without feeling like an idiot.]
Tony
of HouseStark. Apparent son of Hephaestus. Father of none that I am aware of, the world rejoices.I HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO TEARS THIS IS WONDERFUL
But then he mentions that he's her brother, and her smile grows a little bit. She's had good experiences with her brother Leo here - became closer to him than she could ever say about Viserys, who only made her cower and speak softly. She relaxes just a tad, and the dragons even seem to notice the subtle shift in body language, staring up at her for direction.
Well, except Drogon, who's trying to go for another piece of meat.]
You don't think you would make a good father, then?
♥♥♥
And there's a loaded question if ever there was one, even if she is being conversational. The answer is multifaceted and a little bit painful when he gives it just a moment's thought.]
I... no. I don't think so.
[Simple truth might just be better, for once.]
no subject
(Though she's been known to act rashly, on impulse, in the past. That's how she got these dragons in the first place.)]
If I may ask - why don't you think you'd be any good?
[He certainly doesn't seem like the unconfident type, for one thing.]
no subject
He tries to laugh, but it's just sad and maybe a little bitter. He tries finding words again and finally just sighs, shoulders dropping.]
It's just not in my blood. I have nothing to go on. [I don't ever want to be my father.]
Can we maybe not talk about this, I mean, seriously, just... can we not? Please.
no subject
Still, she doesn't press. She'll learn in time - especially if this is her brother. She has every intention of being...having a stronger, more positive relationship with these brothers than with Viserys.]
Have you met Leo yet?
no subject
[Happy for the subject change, though he gets the distinct impression this is only the first of many tests and assessment, he marches right on with the conversation. His shoulders may or may not visibly loosen up a bit.]
Leo... Nope, not ringing a bell.
no subject
[She notices his shoulders untense - that's good. This is their cabin to share, now - he should at least feel welcome in it.]
He's my - our brother, the counselor here. We have two sisters as well, Sky and Labrys, automatons. And we're also sharing with a magician, his name is Feuilly.
[She pauses before she says Feuilly's name. They may play their verbal game, the knight-and-queen one, but just because they do doesn't mean that most will understand when she refers to him as Ser Feuilly.]

Sky I've met... [he trails off after a moment of searching for a way to elaborate on that encounter, and comes up short. Moving on...]
And Feuilly gave me the grand tour, he's pretty chill. [He pauses a moment before his next question.]
So, uh, how long have you been here? You seem like you've really got a handle on all this. [All This being, well, everything from putting up with brand-new siblings to feeding dragon babies...]
