*So since two of the people closest to Sky have been broken, and she can't fix them, she's been a bit more... active around camp. She hasn't named all the emotions running through that celestial bronze head of her's, but she doesn't like most of them. And since she can't help Leo and Dany... she'll just help everywhere else instead! She just doesn't know how to handle problems that don't have solutions.*

*Sky's fixing anything in the camp broken, that she can. She's got a little bit of carpentry skill, but mostly if it's metal and damaged, she's mending it. She's taken all the weapons from the armory and started sharpening and treating them. She's replaced a few weapons that were beyond repair, melting them down and making new weapons in the forge. She's started replacing broken parts in all the vehicles on the grounds. So don't be surprised if she's in your cabin fixing your things.*

Well! I assumed you were a human at first, but I suppose that is telling of your craftsmanship. I do not want to offend, that is all.

Would you like to examine my weapon again? I have no need of it presently.

The mathematical likelihood I wasn't human isn't really worth bothering, so it isn't offensive to think I'm exactly like everyone else in camp.

If you don't mind, I do not want to be a problem.

[ Anna presents her compass again, giving the top button a click until the sword unsheathes itself and the outer bronze shell conforms to the handle. ]

Here it is! May I ask why you've decided to fix and sharpen the weapons?

My brother and sister are acting differently from the Ghosts, and they won't tell me how I can help them.

*Sky takes the sword and gingerly examines it. This is the natural form of the weapon, the other form is what the enchantment creates. Interesting... Sky gently touches her finger to the flat of the blade. Trying to get a taste of the magic in the metal.*

So I decided to just help out the camp itself. A lot of the weapons needed work. And other things around camp could use some repair.

Anna Neumeyer. [ The very German girl replies with a friendly wave of her hand. ]

It's very nice to meet you, Sky. And it is very nice of you to try to help everyone through this troubling time. [ She lowers her head. ]

I can only imagine how difficult it must be to see those who have passed on.

I'm only doing what I'm really good at.

*Sky put down the sword and pulled out a small notebook and scribbled some math, numbers, and little pictographs of what she thought might be how the enchantment worked.*

I can't really imagine it, I've never lost anything in my life. So I can't really understand how meeting someone I lost would cause more grief than losing someone.

[ She folds her hands behind her back, considering this. Mostly, she wonders the best way to explain how the others must feel. ]

What if you could never see someone like -- Leo ever again? How would that make you feel?

I... wouldn't like that. He's the only one skilled enough to repair me if I get damaged. Unless Hephaestus were to do it.

And... I would miss his jokes. They're funny.

See, it feels a little like that, but they have known these people for more than fifty-nine days, I would assume. [ She folds and unfolds her hands, hoping that explanation is understandable. ]

If my parents were taken away from me, why - I don't know what I would do.

How long do people usually know each other for?

*Sky is still trying to really understand how time enters into these bonds. She's known Leo and Danaerys nearly her entire life, did she need to know them longer?*

But, one of your parents is a God. They are very hard to take away.

Well, that's ... a bit hard to say, actually. It varies.

[ She rubs her chin. ] I meant the mother who raised me, Mrs. Neumeyer. Those parents are mortal and I - well, honestly, I would be quite sad if they left me.

Why were you raised by a mortal who isn't your parent?

*Sky doesn't really understand families outside of the odd dynamic she has with Leo and Dany.*

My parents prayed - [ Mentioning the Christian God would be too complicated in this instance. ] - for a child but there were many complications. My father met Demeter and she offered her assistance in giving my parents a baby because they had been so kind to the earth.

[ That's a ... decent summary of her conception. ] Demeter, my birthmother, she, ah, is not always so generous, but she is a concerned parent.

...Is that common? I thought the Gods didn't have as many worshipers anymore.

*It did seem reasonable enough for Gods to help mortals they were endeared to, especially since that's how the stories seemed to go.*

It's possible if you catch the attention of the gods, I suppose. My parents - that is, my father and the mother who raised me - tend to the earth and help it grow.

So if you do things the Gods like, they take notice?

What's it like to be raised by parents?

[perenials]

That tends to be how they notice the parents of many of the children here!

As for me, well, it's quite nice. Warm, cozy. It is also a bit hard to explain in a single conversation, but I will try my best. [ She taps the side of her head thoughtfully. ] A family is a unit, and you all work together and love each other despite the flaws.

[creepyfreezone]

*Sky is trying to keep up, but your answers are a bit too feeling based for Sky to really get a mental image. She right now sees how all the parts of an engine block attempting to work together but failing as each one has a critical flaw in their design.*

So... families have flaws?

All of them, yes. Most do try their hardest to overcome flaws or to accept them for what they are.

But... wouldn't repairing a flaw be better than overcoming it or accepting it?
