Morning, campers! [A young woman with dark hair pulled into a low pony-tail and bright blue eyes is waving at you over the IM.] I thought I'd introduce myself to you. I just got in last night. Anyway, my name is Elizabeth Comstock, I'm a Daughter of Eris, and a Hunter of Artemis. I know the last time the Hunters were here, things didn't go over quite so well, and I really hope we can put that past us, and work to a new understanding. [She smiles broadly.]

Of course, if anyone has any questions about the Hunters, I'm more than happy to talk shop. But don't worry, boys, I'm not planning on spiriting away all your lady friends. That's not why Lady Artemis sent me here. [Well, not entirely.]

I'm all set up in Cabin Eight, and I was hoping I could maybe take a pegasus ride at some point today, if someone wanted to help me out there. It's been a while since I've ridden one as a camper. Feel free to drop in, come say hello. I just thought it was only fair to introduce myself. [There's a 'caw!' from outside the frame.] Yes yes, I'll introduce you too, Songbird. When we have visitors. [She looks back at the rainbow and gives a small salute before the rainbow dissolves.]

Well, being alive all that time, you really just... adapt the way anyone does, I guess. I didn't suddenly wake up in a completely different time. I learned about computers the same time anyone else did.

I suppose it's easier than coming out of being frozen in time. [ Like anyone who finds themselves in the Lotus Hotel. Something catches Annabeth's attention out of the corner of her eye and she cranes her neck a little. ]

Is that your bird?

What d'you wanna know?

[He leans back again and fishes around in his pocket for something.]

I'm the Iris counselor and the only Iris kid here right now. I'm supposed to be a summer camper but - well, y'know the drill. And I'd kill for a Tootsie Pop right about now.

I imagine it would be. There are... hard parts. [Watching people she cared about die. But, she hadn't had any ties left in Columbia. Being with the hunters, it was easier.]

Yeah, that's Songbird. He's been my companion for a while.

Counselor by default. I get it, I was the Eris counselor for a while for the exact same reason.

Yeah. That's the reason Artemis sent me down here. [Not Tootsie Pops.] I could see if I can get some for you, at some point. It shouldn't be too hard.

[Sojourner was always excited when she heard a Hunter was in "town", so when she heard that one was in she made a beeline for Cabin Eight with only a small nagging feeling that this Hunter seemed familiar.

It didn't click how until she arrived and then the night Papa and her were attacked flooded back to her. Well, at least pieces. She still didn't remember much, but she did remember the Hunters coming. She remembered one asking if she was okay before she passed out and-

All she can do is gap at Elizabeth.]

[Not the welcome wagon she was expecting. She turns, holding a book in her hands when she sees a young woman looking at her like she'd just seen a ghost. She waves, putting the book down on her nightstand.] And hello to you, too.

[ She obviously understands that, even as someone who isn't immortal. Annabeth nods sympathetically, though her face hardly betrays the thoughts in her head. ]

Hopefully he'll be able to get along with our other creature companions. [ All of whom were quite amicable in spite of their size. ]

Look, even if they didn't default me I'd wanna be counselor. I hate having responsibility ordinarily, but...I dunno. This is different.

[A grin, and then he reaches into his pocket more and pulls one out.]

Secret stash, sweetheart.

I hope so. If he doesn't, well, he'll just have to find other animals to hang out with, isn't that right, Songbird? [He caws in agreement]

It's... It's you!

[Followed by a series of dramatic gestures that ends in her pointed repeatedly.]

Like really- Holy molely!

Helping out possible siblings, other demi-gods, I get it.

[She nods, impressed.]

So you wouldn't have to kill for it, then.

[Okay, color her a little bit weirded out right now, but she takes a step back, Songbird flying down to sit on her shoulder.] The last time someone said that to me...

[Had been back in Columbia. She's almost about to grab a weapon. Almost.]

Do you know me?

Yeah! Oh- uh, sorry! Yeah!

[Belatedly she remembers that pointing is rude. She drops her hand, smiles sheepishly as she rubs her arm.]

I mean, maybe. Back before I came here a group of Hunters saved my Papa and I from hellhounds. You uh, I mean you look like one of them.

[Okay. At ease, Lizzie. She nods, drawing a breath.] Yeah, that was me. Now that you say it, I remember- sorry. Things really just... blend together. I'm glad to see you're alright.

[She offers a smile and a hand to shake.] I'm Elizabeth.

Plenty to choose from, that's for certain, especially since Hebe decided to drop a gift on camp after the Red Room.

That was sweet of her. He's pretty friendly when you get to know him, not like his namesake, so I'm sure he'll make all sorts of friends.

[She takes the hand almost immediately, the sheepishness falling away as her grin spreads wider. Oh wow. This is almost like meeting a superhero. No wait. It's better.

Elizabeth is a bonafide hero.]

It's cool! I never really expected to be remembered, heh. Just, big shock y'know? And thanks! I mean, for back then. Papa and I would've been toast if you guys hadn't come!

Oh! Right. I'm Sojourner!

[Elizabeth is smiling back at her, too.] Wow, thanks. It's really, really great to hear that, y'know? We don't get a whole lot of thanks, unfortunately. Comes with the Mist.

I'm just glad we were in the area to help you, Sojourner. And it's great to meet you. [And she means every word of it.]

Not technically.

[He unwraps it and shoves the lollipop into his mouth, talking around it.]

But if it came down to where I had to? Yeah, I would .

[He wouldn't . There are reasons Gabriel would kill, strong convictions he has. 'For candy' is not one of them.]

I think you're lying, Gabriel.

[There's a mischievous spark in her eyes, though. She's got blood on her hands. And she has for a long time.]

But I could defiantly go for one of them tootsie pops.

I don't lie, I just tell different truths. Anyway, you should come to Iris cabin. I'm in a sharing mood.

I'll be there.

[She she waves away the rainbow, and a little while later appears from the shade of a tree overhanging the cabin. With a sigh, she raises a hand and smiles.]

Hey, Gabriel. So what's this about a sharing mood?

[She wanted to show off, okay? When you've had over a hundred years to practice shadow travel, you got to be pretty decent at it.]

[The sincerity makes Sojourner grin, though feel a bit awkward. Right. That was probably the weirdest first impression she's made in a while.]

I'd like to assure you that I'm not always this dumb but I kind of am.

[Elizabeth waves her fears away, though Songbird takes it as an opportunity to fly over and perch on Elizabeth's hand. She gives him a pointed look.]

I'm sure you're not- and you're certainly not dumb. Flabbergasted at the moment, sure. But I don't think you're dumb.
