[The IM opens on a Jehan out by the bonfire]

Ah, with everything that's happening to everyone, I thought it might be nice to make something comforting? So I've made a lot of tea and some baked apples, if anyone wants some. I'll be out here or on my cabin's porch.

[Dany really, really hopes that this particular IM doesn't get intercepted by anyone, because there are few people at camp she wishes to see her in this state she's in.]

I will be there in fifteen minutes or so. Allow me to wear something more suitable for being outside.

Whenever you're ready, Dany. Bring the babies.

[wokethedragon]

I wouldn't dream of leaving them behind.

[She waves the IM away and goes to change out of the more comfortable pajamas - just a long nightdress she wears when she's in the cabin and doesn't intend on leaving. She heads over to Cabin Four in an overlarge hoodie. She carries the green dragon in her arms while the other two fly overhead - she's teaching them to soar short distances, first. But Dany herself looks worse for the wear.]

[Jehan smiles at the flying dragons, though his smile fades when he sees Dany]

Salut, maman des dragons.

[wokethedragon]

[She gives him a weak little smile back, sitting down on the porch with him and guiding Viserion and Drogon down. It's a challenge, especially since she does not seem so authoritative right now.

She recognizes exactly one word in that sentence.]

I beg your pardon?

[shylyintrepid]

Mama of the dragons!

[wokethedragon]

[For the record, the word she'd recognized was 'dragon'. She'd ordinarily let Rhaegal loose so he could climb near Jehan, as she's found that the green dragon is creating a strong bond with the French boy, but she won't let him out of her arms today.]

I feel quite harrowed.

[shylyintrepid]

You look it. Talk to me?

[He comes over with tea and an apple.]

[wokethedragon]

[She settles next to him, close to him, and takes the teacup first, just holding it in both hands.]

I've seen my brother today. Rhaegar, the oldest. He's...he's been killed.

[shylyintrepid]

[He nods, biting his lip]

I saw your IM. I was afraid it was someone important to you. I'm sorry, Dany.

[wokethedragon]

[She holds the cup tighter in her hands, her knuckles turning white. She takes a long sip of her tea before she speaks again, her voice quiet.]

I don't understand why no one would have even told me, Jehan. He was my brother.

[shylyintrepid]

There had to be a reason, Dany, I'm sure of it.

[He moves to lean against her. Rhageal noses Jehan's arm]

[wokethedragon]

I'm sure there was. One boy...

[She makes a low, frustrated sound in the back of her throat, leaning against Jehan. The little green dragon crawls into his lap.]

One boy began to insinuate he didn't care about me, or thought I wouldn't care if he'd been killed. I almost lost my temper and throttled him, the nerve on him.

He didn't know. Maybe he's had experiences with that and was just going off what he knew.

[wokethedragon]

It doesn't excuse the tone he took with me.

[shylyintrepid]

Dany, you know not everyone means to be rude, yeah?

[He nudges her a little]

You're really drained, too. He may have just sounded like a dick because of that.

[wokethedragon]

I suppose - but his tone!

[She nudges him back, frowning.]

I had an idea as to why I may not have known, but I don't like entertaining the thought.

[shylyintrepid]

Well, you know now. That's the important part, right?

[wokethedragon]

I suppose so. I just wish I'd had the chance to know him at all.

But there are more important tasks to focus on at camp now.

[shylyintrepid]

Yes. Like drinking tea and eating baked apples.

[wokethedragon]

I understood that to mean why so many of us are in my particular situation. Saralegui says many of us have...seen ghosts.

[She takes another sip of her tea and leans on Jehan again.]

Leo had thought it might be a sort of Halloween prank.

[shylyintrepid]

Oh, that.

[He frowns]

It's a bad prank.

[wokethedragon]

I don't believe it's a prank. The ghosts...they're solid, and they can speak.

[shylyintrepid]

You think they're real?

[wokethedragon]

Why wouldn't they be?
