[Chloe's sitting outside of the Hades cabin, which yeah. Is just as creepy as it looks. Gothic chic is really not her thing. Worst Daughter of Pluto ever. Worst Roman, too. She smiles brightly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.] Hi, guys. This is a little weird. The whole rainbow thing, I mean. Neat, but weird. [About as weird as mechanical eagles, honestly.]

Anyway, so I have this... friend. [Derek's sort of like a friend, right? Right.] He's a werewolf. Yeah, yeah, I know. Demigods and monsters and violence, oh my, but he's, you know. Not a bad guy. Like he's a huge jerk and really broody, but he's a nice jerk.

My point is, he's not here to hurt anybody if you happen to come across him. [He is really rude, though. Mentioning that he's a jerk should be good enough, right?] Oh! Also, I'm Chloe.

[There's a pause. When he speaks, it's almost a growl] Thanks.

[Rolling her eyes. She ain't scurred, Derek.] What? I thought it was better if they heard it from me rather than seeing you skulk around.

[wolfs]

Right, because people look and me and go, 'hey that guy's a werewolf' all the time. [Hey that guys an asshole, yeah, but never usually werewolf]

[necromancies]

[Chloe's quiet for a second before frowning.] I-I'm sorry. Won't th-they be able to figure it out anyway? [She really is just trying to help, okay.]

Thank you for the warning. It is nice to meet you, Chloe. I am Loki, Son of Hecate.

[necromancies]

No problem. I just didn't want anyone to see him and decide to attack. [Even though she's sure somebody probably will anyway.] It's nice to meet you too, Loki. She's the, um, goddess of magic, right?

She is. Are you a new camper or are you from Camp Jupiter?

[necromancies]

Both? I'm from Camp Jupiter, but I was also sort of new there. [She shrugs.] It's a long story.

[A pause.] Does that mean you can do magic too?

[wokethedragon]

A...werewolf?

[Dany looks warily into the rainbow as she replies.]

Have you told Chiron about his nature?

[necromancies]

You know. Fangs, fur, howling at the full moon?

[She nods at the question.]

I had to verify for him before he could enter.

[wokethedragon]

A real lycanthrope. That's astounding. And he doesn't aim to kill?

[Dany's still wary, but she's trying to give Chloe the benefit of the doubt.]

[necromancies]

It is really cool. Kind of scary, but I think what demigods can do is a little scary. [Chloe shakes her head. Like she gets that people would be worried, and she assumed they'd have a hard time understanding that. It makes sense. Lyle House was pretty good confirmation on that whole monsters = bad thing, but...]

No. He doesn't. [There's complete conviction in her words.]

It's nice to meet you Chloe, I hope you're adjusting to the camp well enough... And trust me Iris Messages get less weird the longer you're here.

[At least he's trying to convince himself. He still finds talking through rainbows incredibly odd and he's been here three years.

He's heard a few people speaking about a werewolf, but he hadn't believed any of it, chalking them up to rumors. Now though he can't help but frown, more then a bit concerned.]

... As long as you're friend doesn't hurt anyone I'm sure there won't be much of a problem. I'm assuming Chiron knows?

[wolfs]

No, I snuck in past the impenetrable magical barriers.

[Enjolras has a distinct feeling he and this guy aren't going to get along very well.]

[That is the reaction most people have to Derek, tbh]

It was a stupid question. How would I get into this place if Chiron didn't know?

[He might have his back up a little because he hates having his existence equated with the potential for hurting people all the time]

[necromancies]

Pretty good! It's better than the place I was before I ended up in California. [Anything is better than Lyle House, though.] Oh, good. It's kind of cool, even if it's weird. Who knew that I could use rainbows to talk to people this whole time. [She smiles brightly.

Although she takes it down a notch at the next comment.] Derek's not a bad guy. He won't hurt anyone. [Even if he's been a jerk to her, she has complete faith in him.] I had to talk to Chiron first, so he does.

[He nods, noticing the way her smile dampens towards the end.]

Then there shouldn't be a problem. I trust he won't harm anyone, and thanks to your warning the campers won't mistake him for the run-of-the-mill monster and attack him.

[He might still be suspicious, a bit wary, but he's willing to give Derek a chance.]

[It's because he's a jerk, right? She should have just totally called him the nicest guy ever. Even though Derek's not exactly making the best case for himself.]

He won't, I promise. [It's a lot of responsibility to take on, and she knows that Derek hates it, but it's the only way to really make people feel somewhat comfortable.] I knew the warning would be a good idea.

[polyglottos]

Really? Werewolves are a real thing? [ Pause. ] ...that's actually pretty cool. Promise I won't be attacking him with silver any time soon.

[ She pauses, lips pressed together. ] He's not dangerous, is he? I mean, when he's a wolf?

[necromancies]

I was surprised when I found out, too! [Go figure, right?] You're probably the only other person who finds it cool. [Besides her, that is.

Chloe pauses for a second. Technically, he hadn't gone full wolf on her that time he transformed, but she never felt afraid of Derek, even when he was telling her to go. So she smiles.] No, I don't think so. His bark is way worse than his bite.

Well, I'm still really new to this whole... demigod thing. Monsters at all are still weird to me - maybe you get jaded over time. That'd be sad.

I'm new to it, too. Well, mostly. [It's only been a couple of months, so that still makes her new, right?] Who's your godly parent?

No problem. It make make Derek irritable, but it's better than someone mistaking him for a bad guy.

[wolfs]

It's not cool. And it's more dangerous than she thinks. [You're being kind of nice about it, so Derek isn't going to go total jerk here :'D]

[ She tilts her head a little, clearly curious. SCIENTIST MODE GO!! ]

I'm sorry, I'm sure it's... not easy for you. So... how dangerous is it? Can you control when you change, or is it just on full moons, or...?
