001 - Iris Message

[Wait a second. Who in the world...? For some campers, this face is familiar and incites a feeling of either excitement or dread. For others who aren't in the know (poor things), she's just a tiny, spiky-haired girl with a bright dimpled smile on her face]

Well, isn't there a plethora of new faces here for me to meet~?

Now, you all are probably familiar with the ins-and-outs of our little camp and I should probably tell you that you don't know the half of it, but half the fun is in discovery, isn't it? If everything goes well (quests notwithstanding again this year), I'm sure we'll get the ball rolling with some extra...recreational activities around here. I can't wait to meet all of you!

[She pauses, looking thoughtful.]

That being said, if anyone has any birthdays or anniversaries coming up, let me know. And speaking of, Cabin Twelve...[she winks] we need to talk~

[The IM looks as if it's about to end, but then...] Oh, Enjolras? you have to come back to the cabin eventually. I'll be waiting.

Bluh. Okay, so you know how summer campers go home for the summer, right?

Well, apparently when we all left, some asshole messed with the mist and we all got kidnapped by a bunch of phony versions of our guardians. When we woke up, we were in the evil lair of the Red Room where we were supposed to get fed to Gaea.

I would really like to know why everything on this stupid planet thinks demigods are delicious. Seriously.

Anyway, we had a bunch of traitors in the camp that aided in our kidnapping, and we were almost screwed but the year-round campers found out what happened and staged a coup while the rest of us tried to bring the place down from the inside.

[She listens intently, a frown on her face as she realizes what this meant for her fellow campers. She doesn't know whether she is going to thank Edward or kill him after missing all of this because of Forks, Washington. She nods as John finishes, her lips pursed.]

Sounds exciting. Did everyone make it out okay?

[Alice has noticed that some campers from the previous years aren't there, but then again - they weren't year-rounders and not everyone always comes back every summer. Still...]

More or less. All save for the spies that screwed us over to begin with.

[John says that like he's got a bad taste in his mouth, but doesn't elaborate. It was rough enough just seeing how Jehan had taken the news.]

Well, if anything, that should tell us we should have an interesting year ahead of us. Consider this the calm before the storm.

But, if we must stay here, might as well shake things up a bit, hmm?
