You know, I’d almost forgotten how much I dislike the East Coast.

[The feed opens up on a fairly “punk” looking teenaged boy with a light (way lighter than Sadie’s) English accent. He looks about as bored as you can look without being a slab of redwood. He has several Egyptian charms on his wrists.]

San Francisco may have its fog and weird weather patterns, but at least it isn’t so…crowded. It smells better, too.

[Well, at least it smells better than Brooklyn. The camp, actually, is pretty nice. Not that he’s going to admit it, however]

Moving on. My name is Tybalt, I’m on the Path of Bast, and if anyone needs me, check a roof. Please, don’t need me.

Oh, joy. Please tell me he, I don't know, has an annoying verbal tic that I can use to tell you two apart.

Norse. Apparently, I'm the reincarnation of the god Tyr. [He shrugs.]

...right. I've no idea who that is.

God of law and bravery and honour and... probably war. I think most of them were some kind of god or goddess of war.

If comics and movies are anything to go by, I'd say that's a safe assessment.

So what was Tyr's defining traits as a good?

Doing dangerous things nobody else wanted to, I'm pretty sure.

Sounds a bit like my sort of god. Not so sure if I like the sound of "honor", since honor frequently comes before reason.

I kind of think of him as the god of doing what has to be done, but I don't know how accurate that is.

[Yeah, he still thinks of Tyr as 'him', not 'me'.]

I don't remember much. Mostly I get dreams about my hand getting bitten off.

Any reason for that specific nightmare, or was he just in the wrong place at the wrong time?

They had to restrain a monster. Fenrir- the giant wolf. One of Loki's children. They tried two chains and he broke both of them, so they had the dwarves make a third one and dared Fenrir to let them chain him up. They promised they'd let him go right away, but he didn't trust them and he said he wouldn't do it unless one of them put their hand in his mouth.

[He rubs his wrist like it aches, which it does when he remembers this.]

Tyr stepped up when none of the other gods would, and when Fenrir realized the truth...
