[ Not that she holds any superstitions relating to the day itself, but the Hecate counselor can't help a grin from where she sits on the steps of her cabin after breakfast. Is that ... thunder and lightning in her Iris Message or are your eyes deceiving you? ]

Since Friday the Thirteenth is upon us --

[ There's a witchy cackle in the background and she stifles a snicker. ]

-- Sorry, couldn't help it. Anyway.

[ With a wave of her hand, the thundering stops, though it still looks like she's somehow wandered onto the set of Sleepy Hollow. ]

We don't have any experts on dream interpretation, would we? No, it's, uh nothing serious. Now that I'm getting sleep - not that you care - it's been weird.

But enough about me. [ An unusually impish smile forms on her lips. ] I just wanted to warn you all to beware the black cats in camp, that's all. [ It isn't often that Natalie pulls pranks, but when she does, she goes all out. Besides, something funny should help lighten the mood. Even she will play a part in lifting some spirits and since Hebe was so kind to have dropped a bunch of animals on the place...

Letting a black cat cross your path will either a) put a full rain cloud over your head b) leave you a little ... tongue tied (did you mean to ask questions in another language?) c) give you actual butter fingers. The effects don't last any longer than a couple of hours. ]

Sorry in advance. I'm just practicing.

[ In a clap of thunder, the feed ends. ]

What's wrong? You make it sound a bit worse than just "weird".

... It's kind of an ominous dream like I'm some secondary Shakespearean character or something.

"Ominous"? Do you normally find Shakespeare so unsettling?

[he smirks, attempting to keep the mood at least a little light, but yeah that's kind of a weird thing to have reoccurring dreams about.]

[ Natalie snorts. ] By default, I like Macbeth a lot, and yeah, I do find a lot of that unsettling.

[ Especially when she can actually concentrate on the language. ]

Without knowing more, about the dreams and your general situation, I can't really make any solid guesses as to what that sort of thing is supposed to mean. And I'm not sure how open your are to telling your life story to a stranger.

[he certainly wouldn't be, anyway.]

If you'd prefer, though, I could just help you find dreamless sleep. That's a bit more within my range of expertise.

I'm sorry that I'm not being helpful at all since you're being nice and offering to actually help.

[ She scrubs her hands over her face, groaning. ]

It's a long story and, uh, maybe another time I'd be more comfortable telling it. Do I come see you for some dreamless sleep? I'd like that.

[he's not really all that nice, but it's pleasant to hear it anyway. at least, good to know he hasn't lost his touch.]

You could come to me, if you don't mind falling asleep in the Hypnos cabin. Not that that's all that bad a thing -- there's no one else here, so it's wonderfully quiet. Otherwise, I could come to you when you need it.

[ Natalie rubs her chin thoughtfully. ]

Later tonight in my cabin, then, like when everyone else is getting to bed. I'd be a lot more comfortable falling asleep in my own bunk.

Which cabin is this? And more importantly, do you plan on explaining to your cabin, or are you going to let them wonder over your mysterious late-night visitor?
