[ Well, if the Romans are going to do daily training before breakfast, Heather won't complain, not out loud anyway. She will, as a personal compromise, customize each and everyone of her purple Camp Jupiter shirts. Seeing as it's within her powers, she hardly has to lift a finger for an off-the shoulder shirt, or a braided collar, or a cropped tank.

Of course, after admiring her own work, she's noticed a few things missing among her wardrobe and accessories.

So, here's a good-natured message from the front of the Barbie house. ]

Has anyone else noticed jewelry missing or other pretty things? I know I've lost earrings and stuff around camp but I'm missing two things that mean a lot to me and I don't think anyone here has taken it.

Like, you don't know anyone who is a human metal detector, right?

Nope. [Mostly because she doesn't wear jewelry at all, so there's nothing like that to steal form her. Just gets in the way of fighting, etc, etc.]

I've got this tiny shamrock necklace and a gold ring that looks like it has two daggers coming out of it.

So it's time to set the record straight in advanced. Because as much as she had a reputation, something like this? This was not what she wanted to get a reputation for. Stealing things was for outside of camp (or people who pissed her off). She wasn't that stupid, anyway.]

I haven't noticed anything missing from my stuff. [But anyone who took it would also probably wind up dead.] And if you think I'm jumping the gun, whatever, but I want you to know that I swear I have not touched your stuff. [She even held up her hands to prove it. Because somehow, that would help. Or something.]

[ Legionnaire Oblivious hasn't heard anything of her reputation so she's in the clear so far. ]

Oh, okay. I wasn't really blaming anyone since they're not diamonds or anything worth stealing, though my ring is kind of cool. Just. Little tokens of home and stuff.

Noted. [She nods, glancing off to the side for a moment.] My ring got lost in the godly parent shuffle. I got it back, but I uh... Know how that feels.

[That ring was really the only thing she cared about that she owned.] I'll keep my look out for the thief. Takes one to know one, all that.

Oh! [ Well, the help is unexpected but not unappreciated and Heather smiles brightly in gratitude. ]

Yeah, that's totally sweet. It weird because I always wear them? And suddenly they're gone. [ How did they even get the jewelry off her? ]

Huh. They could have taken it off in the night, or if you took 'em off for a shower? Any of your fingers felt particularly greasy in the morning?

[ Heather smacks her forehead for show. ]

A little necklace with a little black shamrock pendant and a gold ring shaped like two daggers.

[He nods, making a mental note of what the two pieces of jewelry look like.]

Do you remember the last place you had them? I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for them.

Roman training in the morning. Like, normally it's an instinct for me to put all of it back on but -

[ She runs her hands through her hair, frustrated because she isn't certain how to articulate herself. ]

[There's a small pause, and he can see the frustration.

Well, he supposes he can go to the Arena for training later.]

I'm not missing anything, but I'm pretty sure nobody else would want any of my jewelry.

There's nothing wrong with taking to the sleeves with some scissors, I'm telling you right now.

Besides - [ Heather drops her voice to a conspiratorial whisper. ] Tan lines.

I don't know anybody like that, but I think those Vulcan kids could probably make a metal detector in that forge of theirs. Considering the smoke's always going...hey, it's worth a shot, right?

[He responds into the rainbow at first, in hopes that maybe, just maybe, one of them actually picks up on him and starts to do just that. Then, he waves it away and walks around the U to the Aphrodite cabin to speak with his friend in person.]

[ Heather leans against one of the gaudy columns out front, hands in the pockets of her cut-offs. ]

Yeah ... [ For anyone else, she'd brush it off without a hitch, but for Scott, she'll let him in on the truth. ] The ring from gramps and the necklace from - Will. From home.

[He grimaces, looking down at the ground. Scott's heard how important both these people were to Heather before, so it's no surprise that even their tokens hold significance. He looks back up at her, determination in his eyes.]

[ She ruffles her hair, cropped short because she got bored with the longer locks. ]
