[The IM opens up to show Mr. D sitting on the porch of the Big House at a table. He's holding a hand of playing cards, a Diet Coke sitting next to him. Looks like he's finally going to say what he needed to say the other day.]
As some of you more...ahem, astute campers, may have guessed, the feast wasn't just a celebration of the end of the...what did he call it? Some kind of tournament? I don't really care about all that, but...regardless. Chiron also wants me to tell you that it was also to celebrate the relative cooperation we've had from all you campers in regards to trying to sneak out of the barriers. Certainly saves me energy - the less of you I have to see because you broke the rules, the better. Saves me time to do things I actually like.
Chiron's watched the situation, and we're going to lift the barriers on camp today. We wanted to do it at the start of the month, but decided to hold off until the second - because I'm sure some of you might think it's an April Fools' joke. Once they're down you'll be able to leave camp to visit your homes and such, but you'll need a satyr to come with you as usual. Chiron tells me we'd prefer if you came back in one piece, and the satyrs will help mask your smell.
[Of course, there are still shabti and harpies watching the perimeter of camp as a defense system, but the lockdown is relaxed. He pauses for a second, taking a big gulp of his soda.]
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a pretty important game of pinochle on hold with Chiron right now, and I'm winning. Try not to disturb us.
[You can always try to bother Mr. D during his game to ask questions, but there's also a familar mail-satyr near the borders of camp providing demonstrations and help as well.]
