SITUATION POST: JULY 4, 2013

[Today's Independance Day, and as Camp Half-Blood is in the US, they celebrate in a big way. The barbecue dinner's got picnic food - potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, and all the fixin's. Afterwards, there's a fireworks display - a great one, but nothing as spectacular as the one the camp will see at the end of the summer!]

[It wasn't everyday that a demigod dropped out of the sky, hit a pine tree, and crashed at the entrance of Camp Half-Blood. Jason groaned from the forest floor. His head was killing him and he'd really been pushing himself too hard on the winds those last few miles, so to boot he was exhausted.

Jason still wasn't sure how he got out of Chicago without getting himself killed, but here he was. His head was bleeding, he was probably covered in other injuries as well, and did he mention he was drop dead tired? The world wouldn't stop spinning and Jason closed his eyes to the pine tree above as more lights lit up the sky. He was so delirious he couldn't figure if those were mental or fireworks. Wait...it was the Fourth wasn't it? So that's what that explosion had been right before he flew into the tree. Great idea Grace, flying on a dark night when people shot explosives into the air. You are truly a master strategist for the Roman legion.

Jason took a deep breath. He had to be at the camp but where was everyone? Watching fireworks maybe or, in the dark, no one had seen him crash. That probably meant he needed to find them. He made a move to push himself up to a sitting position, but apparently had misjudged the severity of his head injury. Jason's eyes rolled into the back of his head and he fell back to the grass. Yeah...maybe he'd just lie here a minute. He was pretty sure this time there were stars swimming around his head along with the colorful fireworks.]
