[Enjolras is scowling, sitting in front of what looks like it could be one of the cafeteria tables. It probably was. For new campers a barricade set up between the cabins and mess hall might be strange, for veterans it should be normal. Enjolras has the habit of doing this.

 

That’s beside the point. The point is this is an open Iris Message and Enjolras is scowling and glaring and holding up a letter.]

 

I don’t know how you did this Gabriel, but I’m going to kill you when you get to camp.

 

[If one was to look at the brandished letter you might catch sight of an attached photo of Gabriel wearing shutter shades.]

 

To everyone else, be warned. Gabriel can probably find a way to prank you, don’t open any mail. It’ll probably have a stink bomb from him. I think it’s safe to assume nothing is safe until after April Fool’s day has passed.

[He may or may not be realizing how silly it sounds, but there's no way he's going to let on the real reason he's angry is because Gabriel found out his name. No way. The stink bombs just an annoyance.]

If I were you I would steer clear of any restrooms or shrubbery for the day.

Oh they are horrid, but I am surprised he went with something so uninventive.

He generally isn't, I've found. It's a shame. You'd think a son of the rainbow would be much more creative.

One would think. I suspect not being at camp has hampered his creative processes a bit.

What is his excuse for not being here full-year this time?

He has a family to go home to. I believe he stays with his brothers and their guardian.

That's much simpler than the stories he has told me.

Last summer, he'd told me he was running away to go join the circus.

Which of us do you suppose is right?

I am rather sure I am correct as he has made no mention of anything vaguely circus related in any of his Iris Messages.

He Iris-Messages you from his family's home?

[She sort of wishes she could do the same for her friends from the horse ranch, or even for Jorah. He never was good about answering her IMs.]

He does. He gets bored very easily at home.

I assume that the boy becomes bored very easily anywhere, even in such a place as this, if he must resort to teasing others.

You can imagine how bored he gets when he is not here with things to occupy his time.
