[02 Cog] Iris Message/Action
[Sojourner's been toying with this idea since Lizzie asked her to teach her a recovery roll, and it only strengthened after the talent show.
So here she is, standing in front of the Nike cabin in a baggy hoodie and sweat pants. She gives a little wave, then shoves her hand back into the hands back into the kangaroo pouch. If anything it's to keep herself from nibbling at her fingers. No need to be so nervous, she reminds herself.]
Hey guys, so for all you new people, names Sojourner Ayers-Silva, one of the resident dorks of the Nike Cabin. I'm also that girl who did all the acrobatic moves at the talent show that may or may not have included doing a backflip off Mr. D.
Still waiting to find out if I'm in trouble for that one. But I digress!
That was something called parkour, people who have seen me running around camp might've noticed I do it... An awful lot. It's kinda a hobby of mine. Mix that with free-running and oh man can you get places quick! Anyways! [She does her best to clamp down on her rambling. No need to go off on a tangent]
I thought I'd offer to teach anyone interested in learning some moves. I know it's pretty useful for fighting and I've gotten out of a couple tight binds with monsters back home by using it. I'm... I'm not really that good at teaching. I learned 95% of this on my own through trial and error and the other 5% through this guy back home who took pity on me in the park one day. But I figured I'd offer and give it a shot. I mean, it'd be fun to go free-running and stuff in a group after all!
[She smiles, bouncing on the balls of her feet.]
Right! So if your interested feel free to stop by the Nike cabin or shoot me an Iris Message, I'll be making a list, checking it twice, and all that jazz. Then I'll get in touch with everyone and we'll set up a good time for everyone!
[She gives a grin, then a small salute before waving her hand through the rainbow.]
-
[For anyone who stops by the cabin they'll find Sojourner doing various things - from cleaning up her side of the cabin to walking on her hand. Feel free to bother her!]

Re: [IM]
[She grins at that, though seriously. How has she and Dave never met and talked about this before?]
[IM]
Shit, how did he take it? Why didn't I hear about that? I feel like this is a conspiracy.
Re: [IM]
[And the pride swells in her chest again.]
It was at the talent show! And, er, well I'm not a frog or cleaning out the stables so I think he got a kick out of it?
If I go missing though, he should be the first suspect.
[IM]
Huh. I ended up skipping out on the talent show. [He'd had.. other things to do. Like calming down a certain highly strung deathkid.]
I can't believe I missed that shit! Fuck, I'm so mad.
Re: [IM]
[At least she hopes so. She wants to relive that moment for the rest of her possibly short life.]
And that stinks, it was a lot of fun. Plus there was a fondue fountain!
[IM]
[Because he has to see that.. and then he has to try it.]
Yeah, I saw that-- I was there but like.. had to abscond. Had something to deal with, y'no?
Re: [IM]
[Mr. D will never be allowed to forget that day.]
Abscond?
[IM]
[Dave Strider: Always saying everything except exactly what he means.]
Re: [IM]
[Because that's a cool word! And a lot more recognizable. Where did abscond come from?]
[IM]
Re: [IM]
[She laughs.]
I donno, vamoose is a cool word.
[IM]
[Dave smirks.]
Can't say we're not gettin' creative with our vocabularies.
Re: [IM]
[She grins.]
I mean, only classy people use vamoose and abscond.
[IM]
[Because they are definitely classy and not nerdy at all.]
But, y'no, back to the main point here.
Re: [IM]
You got any cool tricks up your sleeves?
[IM]
How 'bout we meet up and you can find out?
Re: [IM]
[IM]
[Then he dismisses the message and he's gone.
Race you?]
