[NPC] Iris Message

[There’s a friendly satyr greeting you via rainbows today. Tai’s grinning, his baseball cap backwards and a ball being tossed from hand to hand.]

Okay, so first things first. Yeah these barriers stink, but they aren’t permanent. It’s one of those necessary evils, and an example of people who are older calling rank and doing so without permission for safety reasons. [To this he makes a face.] So. Very, very lame. However!

[He pauses though, grinning as he speaks the next few words very slowly, punctuating each syllable.]

They. Are. Not. Permanent.

Yeah, they’ll be coming down. I’ve been trying to wheedle how long they’ll be up from Mr. D but he threatened to turn me into a bug if I kept annoying him… So I’m going to give it a day before I resume. I’ll keep you all updated with that. But my theory? Give it a few more weeks.

[Getting that out of the way.]

But, once these super barriers are down? You guys are able to leave camp. I mean you were before but I guess no one was ever clear on that. Of course! There’s a catch. [He holds up the hand holding the ball in a ‘halt’ manner.] You guys can’t leave without a chaperon in the form of a satyr.

I know, I knooooow, that’s lame. But safety and numbers and all that. And if Percy Jackson, whoever is Odin here I’m sorry I don’t know your name yet, the Roman praetors and Egyptians have to have chaperons so do the rest of you guys. Don’t worry, most of us satyrs won’t crowd you unless you’re below the age of sixteen or prone to getting yourself into all sorts of trouble.

Aka Percy, we’re gonna be watching you like hawks.
