Action | Saturday, April 28
[So if you've been watching this white-blond haired demigod recently, you may have noticed a few changes going on.
For one thing, she's spent a lot more time than usual recently at the forges.
Now, Daenerys Targaryen's a daughter of Hephaestus, and this shouldn't be anything surprising for one of her stock. But the thing is that Dany's never really experienced much want or even need to go to the forges before, citing the excuse that she did not enjoy to be around the ash and smoke and soot.
But more and more, recently, she's been seen coming out of the giant iron doors, though she never leaves with anything in her arms.
Never in the daytime, anyway.]

When he sees her coming out of the forge empty handed numerous times that week, however, he begins to suspect something.
Because he likes to think he knows Dany very well, and one look at her face and he’s sure she’s up to something.
Which is why he’s waiting outside the forges for her now, prepared to find out just what she’s building.]

His stern, solemn face was no stranger to her, but Daenerys had learned in her time knowing Enjolras to pick up the subtle nuances in his body language and determine the hardly-smiling boy's actual mood.
And this one's not exactly one she should hide from, because the son of Apollo has a wrath that's almost as strong as her own.]
Hello, ser.
[Still, she tries to greet him casually, using her nickname for him, as if nothing's wrong.]
no subject
[It’s best to cut to the chase, no beating around the bush. He looks at Dany, keeping his arms crossed over his chest. His expression is stern, but there’s a certain glimmer of curiosity in his eyes. He really does want to know what she’s doing.]
no subject
[It was true, she did help her brother, just to save face. He did, after all, always want the best. But she pauses for a moment, and looks up at Enjolras, then around to make sure no one's listening.]
I've something to show you, if you can still keep a secret...Ariel.
[She dangles it over his head a bit, as if to say, 'I've kept yours, you keep mine.]
no subject
he's still not sure how Gabriel found out his name. But there's no one around and if he's to understand the unspoken implication...
Enjolras groans, just a bit.]
Whatever you're hiding better not explode in my face.
[Whatever secret she's going to share he'll keep until his dying breath.]
no subject
She almost laughs, and she just takes his hand in hers, leading him towards the Hephaestus cabin with a knowing smile.]
Now, I cannot promise that.
no subject
[He drawls, letting her lead him towards the cabin. Alright. It couldn't be anything major if she's keeping it inside the cabin.
Little did he know...]
no subject
[She gives his hand a little squeeze, and once they've gotten to the cabin, she looks around before going inside. Thankfully, Viserys isn't there. Things would be completely soured if he was, and she might even 'wake the dragon'.
That's the last thing she needs right now, especially with Enjolras near.]
You must promise to be quiet.
no subject
[He shakes his head with fond exasperation. Really from the way she was acting he expected something a lot more dangerous then a secret pet.
Out of habit he looks around the cabin when they entered, grateful to see that Viserys isn't in. If he were to be honest, he really couldn't stand Dany's older brother, and still has a lot of trouble reconciling the fact that someone as kind as her could have... Well. Viserys as a sibling.]
I'll be quiet as a mouse.
[The exasperation has faded into amusement, the corners of his mouth twitching upwards.
It's a look that's going to quickly be replaced when he sees the dragons.]
no subject
[She knows Enjolras' feelings toward her older brother, and it's one of the reasons that she's a bit glad that Viserys isn't around. The last thing she really needs is for the two of them to get into another one of their shouting matches. It really does neither of them any good, and it makes her more frustrated than anything. Screaming doesn't change things or make a person more powerful than the other. Action is what truly does that.
She kneels down by a large metal box, covered by a fireproof blanket, and uncovers it slowly. Underneath, three baby dragons, each not much larger than an ordinary squirrel, lie sleeping.
Well, two do, anyway. The two curled up next to eachother are a brilliant green, sleeping in a small ball, and a cream-colored one. He stretches his wings, stirring, and it becomes clear in the light that his scales are speckled with gold.
The one that's fully awake seems more rambunctious, as he's cawing loudly, and Daenerys has to put her finger to her lips a few times to quiet him. He still hasn't learned commands too well, yet. This one's a little bigger than the other two, with jet-black scales and red wings.]
I was the first one they saw upon their hatching. They think me their mother.
[And if that is the role her blessing has given her, then she'll be happy to take it on.]
no subject
The smiles dropped completely, expression going suddenly blank.]
Daenerys.
[When they had first met Enjolras use to always use her full name - often mispronouncing it in his thick accent. It was only after a year or so of knowing her that he had begun referring to her as Dany. Now a days he only ever uses her full name when he's being very serious or angry.
He's not angry, yet, but his expression has shifted into a deadly serious one.]
Where did you find these?
[He's keeping his distance, having read enough about dragons to be cautious.]
no subject
She had thought their birth to be something he would congratulate her over, something he would be proud of.]
They were in the attic of the Big House. Jon helped me to find them. It was cruel, Enjolras. They were sitting cold inside their eggs, waiting. It would be unfair to keep them as prizes, only spoils of war. A living thing is not a prize to be won.

So when she sees the other girl coming out of the forge, it doesn't seem like any big deal to her.
She makes her way over, hand lifted in a way. See, being a daughter of someone who invents things would have been cool. But nope. Chloe had to get stuck with the death god.] Hey!
no subject
Of course, she's still buying into anything her brother says and trying to hide her own abilities from him out of fear, so maybe she shouldn't talk.
She gives Chloe a wave and a small smile.]
Chloe, hello!

[Daenerys isn't there too often, preferring to keep a close eye on her horse Silver in the stables. But lately, she's been in the fire more and more, working on something.
But she isn't about to tell Chloe right away what it is, especially since she's been hiding it from her own cabinmates.]
Usually, we make weapons, armor...those sorts of things, though my older siblings can create automatons, I've heard.
no subject
Her head tilts as she looks Dany over. She doesn't exactly look like the kind of girl that'd be involved in forging things. Actually, she looks like she could belong to the Venus kids, but she doesn't want to say that if it's an insult.] So what are you working on right now? [Because if she's coming from the forges, she has to be working on something cool, right?]
no subject
[She doesn't want to say 'perfecting' the idea, even though it's really what they're doing, out of fear of Hephaestus hearing and something bad happening to her.]
We're developing the idea further.
[That seemed more suitable.
And then Chloe asked her what she's making - quick, she had to think on her feet.]
I'm making some new equipment for Silver. She has done well in our rides lately, and I feel she is deserving of it.
no subject
What sort of equipment? [Chloe pauses then, making a face.] S-sorry. I promise, I'm not overly nosy or trying to get into your business like this all the time.
no subject
[She has to think, for a second, and then quickly responds.]
There's no need to worry. It's a new saddle, plated with Celestial bronze.
[It wasn't completely wrong. She had been working on one a long time ago, yes, and it wasn't very good, but it'd do to show her if Chloe asked.]
no subject
That sounds really cool. So you have your own pegasus, then?
no subject
[She smiles, nodding quickly.]
Yes. She's not mine alone, but she has taken to me rather well and I was the one to name her. I can introduce you, if you'd like.
[A good diversion away from the forge was what she needed right now.]
no subject
[Chloe Saunders, eternal cheerleader?
Her eyes light up at the thought.] Really? That'd be awesome. I grew up only think stuff like this existed in fantasy movies, and now I'm living one. [Which is both crazy and cool.]

He just happens to be heading towards them, and distracted by noting things down in the notebook he's kept on him constantly since arriving. Which is why the magician is literally bumping into her on her way out. Whoops.]
Sorry -- I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there.
no subject
And then she's ran smack into - the force of the magician's hit sending her to the ground abruptly. She takes a deep breath in, and then gets up, dusting herself off.]
It's fine. I was just on my way back to my cabin.
