So. These last two weeks stunk.

[Meet Tai, Camp Half-Blood, also known as Mr. State-the-Obvious. He’s been away for a while, but some campers might have seen him around in the past (and more often than not this past year, with a daughter of Demeter trailing behind him around like a lost duckling).

Today he’s alone though, idly rolling a baseball between his hands. There’s a strain to his smile.]

And yeah. Because of what happened Mr. D and Chiron have decided that everyone’ll be staying for the rest of the year. [A barely concealed cringe.] They’re working on what to do about schools and such, and probably getting in touch with parents and guardians but I’d suggest you guys give yours a call?

Anyways. I’m out here by the beach, and I figured if anyone wanted to talk about what’s happened I’m a pretty good listener. I’ve also been told I give good hugs.

[The grin brightens, a bit.]

Or if you don’t want to talk, I am pretty good at telling stories if you want a distraction. Either that or we can toss a baseball around or… Or something.
